From us and the Titans yes... from the Dogs no, because without Kimmorley they are crap.

I reckon the loser of Manly or Melbourne are eliminated.

So for argument's sake , should Knights win tomoz and we draw the drags , do we look forward to massive turnarounds from Dogs , Eels and Tits?
At this stage Manly @ Melbourne and Broncos @ Skilled are set in stone.

Broncos aren't set in stone. They could still finish 7th if they lose tomorrow and the Knights win.

Dogs are going to find it hardest to turn around. They had plenty of motivation last night... the JJG shield. They were blown away. Their problem is no Kimmorley.

Tits had nothing to play for and were away from home. They do have injury problems... Odwyer did his ACL and is gone, and Rogers has a hammy strain, but they'll be up for it next week, you can count on it.

Parra were missing two extremely key players after being up for 7 weeks straight, and were facing the eventual minor premiers who were more than busting for a big win after losing 3 in a row and copping a lot of stick for it. We can turn it around for sure.

I also agree that our guys are being hard done by here.

We should be standing up and applauding them for even making the top 8.
As I said in another thread, I was just stoked that we started winning, and making life hard for the top teams.
I never thought in my wildest dreams that we would make the 8 this year.

I was looking forward to a great start next year. Well now we are here in the top 8, lets pat our boys on the back for getting this far.

I my not be the best supporter as I can't always make the games due to work and sometimes cost, but I watch EVERY GAME on TV and my neighbors all know who I support.

I think those doubters are the problem with our support base. It is time to pull your heads in.

If we make the final.. and this is IF. I can assure you that those who are currently bagging the team today, will be there saying "I knew we could do it" "we are the greatest team" etc.

Then SMASH the team if we loose the final.
Supporting a team means through thick and thin. Supporting them to the death.

I have now been supporting the Eels for over 35 years. I have seen the highs... and a sh*t load of lows.

But I will still support MY team the EELS to the death.

End rant. :sarcasm:

Coops

Too true, preach it brother.

If you choose to support a team, support them. Don't become their harshest critics. There are plenty of other people out there to have a go at us, we need to be the ones supporting and encouraging our team!

Think of them as our brothers, if your brother (or sister) had a bad day, would you drive another nail in? no, you would support them and help them to see where they might improve.

The Eels are a great team; the boys bust their guts to give us entertainment. Lets bust our guts to cheer them on as far as they can go this season (you never know, we might even go all the way).

GO THE MIGHTY EELS!!

I was thinking that myself , can see 2nd and 3rd losing next week - making fridays game a possible sudden death one .

LOL actually reminds me of 2004 when Drags lost @ Penrith 4 v 5
by ONE POINT! They thought,"No wuckers , we' ll turn it around
next week" and guess what Melbourne (6) did Broncs (3) then best of all Cows (7) beat Bullies (2) and in the space of 160 minutes , the chokers were GORRRNNNNN!!!!!

If we need the team firing, getting smashed 37-0 doesn't exactly fire much does it?

I am very sorry but who gives a f*ck if the players read these pages??????????????????? Poor little princesses might get their feelings hurt??????? If they do read these pages and still put in some of the garbage performances they have given us over the years then they obviously don't care too much about the people who support them.

These guys have been protected for too long by our club!

Last night was an all to familiar performance from this team, glad you weren't upset, i was furious when i walked out of that sh*thole, i hate the place i have been threatened every single time i have been there!

The last 7 weeks were so fantastic, they were really building something great, how terrific were some of those wins? I was at everyone of them and loved the ride they had us on.

Then we get to Kogarah last night expecting a tough good game, after about 2 minutes you knew they were not interested! Losing wasn't the issue, i can handle losses when we try but we didn't try, we were there in body but that is about it.

Why shouldn't we be allowed to be critical????? I pay my money for my season ticket, B&G Army, football club etc. I paid money for a ticket, left work early to go and watch both grades last night only to watch utter trash, should i be happy about that performance? Should i talk positive?

To be honest, i know we can match the Dragons next week, our form over those 7 weeks, especially the Tigers and Bulldogs games specifically proved we can play in big games and have the right intensity but right now i am still pi$$ed off about last night as i have a right to be.......

I will be buying my tickets on Monday morning though and i will cheer them on next week as usual!

So every day in your life has been perfect has it? From the moment you wake up in the morning, til your head hits the pillow at night, not a thing has gone wrong. Please. Put this game in perspective. If we had been playing like that for the last 2 months then yeah I would be sh*tty. But they have clawed their way back to the top to secure a spot in the finals. And it was just one of those days. Like when you walk out the door in a brand new shirt only for a bird to sh*t on it. Do you grab a gun and shoot the bird? No! Hence why we shouldnt be shooting down our players at this stage of the game. My opinion, and I will stand by it.

I certainly take your point, I am far from perfect and make plenty of mistakes!

I have calmed down alot since Saturday but 37-0 doesn't sit well with me is all.

I have no doubt this week will be a different story and I have my tix to cheer them on but mentally 37-0 will be in their heads and if the Dragons put points on us early it will make it very tough for us imo.

I do give us a good chance to match them though, they just need to believe they can do it, not just talk about it in the papers.

Oh and no, I wouldn't shoot the bird.

Korny...it's not the end of the world. I'm sure DA and the players have put Friday night behind them already.

Sides like the Tigers, Penrith and NQ did not make the finals...we have after it being nigh on impossible in the middle of the season and with a side that was inherited by DA....I am welling up just thinking about the effort to make the 8 a week before the regular season finished.

If we go down this Sunday, even though I will be watching it from the Vegas, I will be on my feet clapping and will not stop until the last player enters the sheds.

To borrow (and slightly change) the lyrics from a Dropkick Murphys song and about the Boston Red Sox....

"Don't blame us if we ever doubt you
You know we couldn't live without you
Parra...you are the only only ooooooooooonly"

I f**kn love this club.
