All this talk about Ropati makes me laugh. If you had been really watching, you would see that all our backs were under pressure constantly. Webke and Civo did an excellent job on getting their team on the front foot going forward. Price and Wiki never really got into the game.
Its the old story, your foundation starts in the pack, you gain dominance there, and the rest is a follow on.

Ropati's a decent centre, but the try he bombed against the Bronco's showed his decision making under pressure is not good enough for a 5/8 at the moment IMO

I agree with a lot of what you're saying. We got rolled badly up front.

But there were three crucial errors and two glaring defensive misses that IIRC cost us tries from a certain five eighth. One dropped ball at marker, simple. One dropped with defence rushing at him, unacceptable. One bombed try by a mysterious option taken that only he could explain.

If it was once in the season, you'd accept it. Put it this way though, we played Brisbane twice this year, and twice he came up with momentum killer plays that cost us any chance of victory. Last week was a good performance, but some people need to remember the old saying, old good day in the sun doesn't make a summer and it certainly didn't make up for some of the previously ordinary play making performances from him. Running the ball generally has been fine, but he needs to do far more than that, and when he makes errors doing that alone he is made to look decidely poor.

To be fair Jro wasnt in solo company with his shocker..Mannering was appalling. Although he had an excuse..he wasnt the same after that headclash with Hodges

Yeah, Simon had a poor game.

You're right, Ropo wasn't alone. In regards to Simon though, he's had a lot of particularly fine games. You earn a little bit of credit I think when you're a generally very consistent and solid performer like he certainly is, and you play your role well.

Yeah, I think the head clash didn't help simon's game at all to be fair.

Both he and Hodges suffered from it, Hodges didn'tt do much in the first half although he seemed to come right after half time.
