Getting my computer to read my psp

It seems i have a problem with my computer not reading my psp , i have used the USB to connect to the computer but i dont have the high speed USB hub, iv been told that could be the problem , if so how could i fix this, and if it isnt the problem what could be the problem?

Thanks for that , it seems strange to me , i dont have the lastest usb port, my computer is fairly new and it doesnt seem to have all this

sorry to contradict you but, you dont need usb 2.0,
the old and standard usb 1.1 works fine, even if it is a bit slower.

You have to make sure the PSP is turned on, and you have to select 'USB connection' on the PSP before it will communicate with the PC.
