Well, it took me a wgile to find a good topic for the next instalment of this series, but egad - I think I've found it.

After the tremendous response to the first topic, I thought it would be wise to continue along the same tracks.

This topic is entitled: Which is your favourite current Eel in each grade, or your favourite First Grader?

Given our recent form and issues, I would like to encourage positive posts - thus it is about your own personal favourite players so we can put a name to the players' faces!

My favourite First Grade player is Burt. I think when he's in form he is devastating and has good defense too. Plus he has heart and loyalty for the club.

I don't know much about the lower grades, but Witt would have to be my favourite Premier League player.

NRL - Luke Burt
Premier League - Ben Smith
Flegg - Tim Smith / Matt Lantry

I also like Thorman and the big guy Foi Foi Moi Moi

I'd just like to add that I like all our players that try hard and play for the team and not themselves.

I'd have to say Hindmarsh. The way he puts in every week is just something which demands respect. I would have said Jamie Lyon until this year, a very exciting player to watch. But Hindmarsh has something no other player in the side has. He plays his best every week which is something that just can't be said from the others. Close runners up would be Grothe and Burt, they both seem to have a passion for Parramatta and I have to admire that. And i'm beginning to become a fan of Justin Tsoulos also.

Sadly, my Eels exposure doesn not include access to the reggies.

Hindy is my favorite. Early on, when he, Mick Hodgeson, Cayless, Bobcat etc were coming through the ranks, I saw him do a few sp[ecial things that rekindled memories of Ray Price. Just the passion and sheer work ethic. having watched him develop into what I think is the finest forward in the world in the last 5 years has been one of the greatest thrills I have experienced at Parra for decades.

In the Smith erea, the only players I felt similar thoughts to were Clinton Schifcofske, Jason Smith, John Simon and Jamie Lyon.

And Mark Tookey. Did anyone see big Tooks carve up the Souths forwards just like he used to at Parra?

Tooks is back is he? He hasn't been playing much for the warriors recently.

Hindmarsh gets my vote.

Ash Graham is my favourite of the younger brigade

My favorite player in first grade is Eric Grothe Jnr: He has grown up as footballer and I I believe if he cleaned up a few rough edges in his game he could be our next international.

Premier league: Ben Smith: Big, strong and fast. he's got the ability to run through a whole. As a centre he also has great ball playing hands.

Flegg: Brett Anderson: A try scoring freak who looks for the ball and has a great step.

Footnote: I believe both Smith and Anderson are ready for the big time, I don't believe they will set the world on fire yet but I think it'll fast track them to that sort of status.
