Between the three of them i think thats where we will find points. If we can target them as much as possible it will help us disect the tigers!

Ellis is cumbersome and will not be able to react quickly enough. Gibbs is a penalty machine and Ayshford is lightweight. That is where the dissection will occur if we are on our game. In regards to defence. We need to stop Farrah darting from dummy half and Benji putting moltzen etc through gaps. this is where the game will be won. We have proven our defense is sound but the tiges will test our resolve.

I think I'd rather leave it up to our coach to develop a game plan. He's been pretty good at that the last 2 months.

Ellis is cumbersome?

He is probably only behind Watmough as far as second rowers are travelling at the moment.

As for Ayshford.... 190cm and 90kgs. Hardly lightweight. Smaller than some of our backs but he has done well against the likes of Lyon and Matai in recent weeks.

The big key for the Eels this week is defence. Frustrate the Tigers into making mistakes and giving away penalties which they will do. Capitalise on the field position that mistakes and penalties can give. Get Hayne involved as much as possible - on and off the ball.

I thyink we need to move up on benji when he gets the ball. Alot of teams just sit back and watch Benji run in circles thats when he's dangerous.

Parra comfortably. Dont rate the tigers until they beat a few big teams like we have.

They beat souths, who were playing crap at the time
Then had a bye
Beat the cowboys who really are not a team who looks the goods this season and cant win away from home
Beat the raiders which is not hard to do
Beat manly which i admit they did play well for about 40 minutes, but if watmough had some support that game, they would of smashed the tigers.
Then they just beat the roosters
Their latest win against the sharks which is really nothing to celebrate.

I think if we show up and play like we did against the dogs and defend like we have the past month then we will really show the NRL we are the real deal and the tigers just how far off they are.

According to statistical info Ellis doesnt make that many tackles, he is not hindy?

Farah has made more tackles than him this season. And by a huge margin. Plus he misses quite a few. Actually he misses alot ! He trys the big shots but is way too cumbersome to pull them off. Any thoughts??? Ayshford is inexperienced. Hayne needs to run at him!

Does that mean he is a Danger? Look at Fui, hes alot shorter than most props but nails them every week. I wouldnt be hedging my bets on ayshford!

Prop and centre are different positions. What bets exactly are we hedging?

Ayshford has played some very good games this year and can score himself or draw and pass for his winger. Classic centre who will eventually move in to the 5/8 role IMO much like a Daley or Fittler. Only young but he is a class prospect.

As for Ellis not making a lot of tackles and missing a few. 56 over the season isn't too bad for a pommie forward in his first season. He makes plenty of metres and has Heighington back to do a little of his share in defense. Has been a big part of their go forward this season.

He misses less tackles a game than Anthony Watmough does but I'd take both to play alongside Hindy.

Support play will win us this game. I think we have the ability to make some line breaks but the Tigers can be fast and so will have the opportunity to cut us down once we've broken them. We just need to ensure that players put in and follow each other and we should get more tries than the Tigers stop.

I don't see our defense as a problem. Joel and Inu can both harass Marshall so as long as their inside defenders stay alive we should be ok.

That is probably the only thing I'll agree on in this thread.

When Sheens said last year that it was time to do a clean out I thought he would be the first to go.

Oh well...a plus for the Eels that he will be running out Friday night.

And Ellis is a gun...not a weakness at all.

Surely we won't open up around the ruck like the Sharks did. We are tighter than that.

Those clowns were like turnstiles.
