Your 9 needs to stand up.

So the story continues.

Gillett will be fine.

Good point, Norman would have no chance defending them.

We really need yow Yeh and reed to step up. Bombs to those two are probably the only way I can see us scoring.

With Beale at fullback, watch for tries down the left wing. Gillett at 5/8 will mean him and Thaiday will be offloading for each other close to the line on the right in a look to break a tackle and power over.

I think the added defence against trex and foran could be a blessing in disguise. Obviously we lose a lot of attack but the more I think about it, the more I convince myself we've got what it takes.

Actually, I'm quite happy with Gillet at Five-Eight. He brings a unpredictable approach to the game and that's something that'll cause havoc for manly.

We're not too far off... Whole bunch of 90 - 100kg, 6 foot players in that squad that could slip into the back row

McGuire has always been a prop, but if you're looking at size and weight, Add Hala, Anderson, Hannant and... Hodgo to that group.

So seeing as next year, Lockyers jersey is vacant will that go to Gillette too ? I can't wait to see how he goes, I am genuinely excited, this could be interesting.

With our plethora of second rowers, Gillett could actually be a viable option... Depends on his kicking and passing game but he is obviously talented. And a 6'2, 105kg wearing the number 6 could be interesting as hell.

Yeah, interesting indeed. But is he good enough to win a premiership? Cos that will be the goal in 2-3 years, if not right away.

I didnt know he was that big, IMO it was an odd decision to put him there, but if it works out it would be deemed a master stroke. TBH I just hope tonight isn't a one sided game however the game goes.

Exactly, Brisbane has to look forward to the future, especially since they are holding down the fort in brisbane.

Yeha it is kinda odd. Although of anyone in the top 18, he has played the most at 5/8 recently. I'm thinking Griffin didn't want anyone who hadn't been playing at NRL grade recently in the team. It's basically the same team now although the dynamic will be very different. I'm just praying the addition in defence, especially with Gillett marking up Foran, will make up for the drop in attack...

However it works out, Beale owes us the best f**king game of his career...

Yeah, true... Also Gillete is an "X Factor" type player, he just has that special something.

Well good luck man, hope the game is exciting.
