The problem we have in London is where it’s hosted. You’ve got Wembley at 90k, Twickenham at 82k, Arsenal, Tottenham and West Ham around 60-62k and then a drop to the rest.

Fulham’s 30k Craven Cottage has history as it’s where London Broncos started and would be a reasonable sized venue.

Craven Cottage has flashy new stand on river side..but if NRL is doubling with Wigan, st Helens etc it should be aiming at above 30k

Arsenal or Tottenham esp if it’s 3 games

Think Craven cottage doesn’t allow rugby games anymore

Is 60k realistic? I don’t think it is, in all honesty.
2 super league games and one nrl game ?

If they can’t get 40k they are doing something wrong

Especially if the nrl are doing the marketing they won’t scrimp on it

Other option if it’s not London is Etihad, Everton or Elland rd but London is a sexier destination lol

Arsenal and Tottenham are extremely unlikely to let Rugby League be played on their pitches during premier league season.

Yeah, I’m not sure many Super League teams are going to be willing to drop a home game and the income from that. Wigan may, though their owner now owns their ground and the football team, maybe Warrington and London, if they get to Super League, but apart from that, I don’t see it. It’s also another trip to London, we don’t get masses following teams to cup finals, I’m not sure you’d get more than a few thousand at most clubs travelling to London for a home game.

Newcastle may be a tactical and clever move. Magic Weekend has been binned here and the fans that went, loved Newcastle, you may see people more willing to travel there than London.

If NRL gets 10 team comp (I don't think they reduce 14 but anyway) hypothetically which area is it looking to have team?! Vlandys mentions wales

Global round will not be in Newcastle

My choice for an NRL global opener in France is definitively a game Broncos.vs Warriors at "Stadium de Toulouse"

Broncos: equvalent to Stade Toulousain (economy, popularity) biggest club in their respective sport.
Warriors: large community of pacific islander in all union surounding club
Stadium de Toulouse biggest stadium (33150 seats) in heartland of both Union and League game

London
Two French teams

Top six super league clubs could be interesting

In a ten team league no way hull gets two clubs yet under the current criteria hull kr rank first in the league … even though hull fc have always been a way bigger club and play in a much better stadium

Wales it’s been tried before dunno if the time is right even with wales union killing off one more side

Nrl got 45k this year in Vegas and it’s growing

London should get at least that if not more

I know nfl is a million times bigger sport but they just got over 85k for their game in Wembley involving one game only

45k in Wembley is awful. Even in a 60-62k stadium, it’s not the best atmosphere or aesthetically.

That’s if you even get 45k, which I’m not sure you would.

Nine of the top ten NRL want is not in doubt: big six, two french clubs and London. Ten could be anybody unless I'm forgetting an obvious candidate. I'm thinking of where the NRL would go after that?! I think m62 teams with an academy bring players and that is what NRL really wants being a competitive England for the Ashes. People thinking NRL will ditch m62 may be mistaken.

Toulouse would be joined up thinking if the NRL were to take a gamble on Super League and take charge. They’ve made it clear they want 2 French sides, this would aide Toulouse and show them and the sport off.
