It's a fairly recent thing.

I've changed the settings so only members can alter their own links.

We'll have to start from scratch and build it up again. I'll add a few tonight... including the Kiwi RL banner.

It's stuff like this that really pisses me off. Legends Links had a good number of handy links and it was something we openly promoted so stupid vandalism like this serves no purpose and I hate having to change settings to stop people from using the full resources of this forum.

BTW I got a mate who started a NineCommunity a few weeks back. It's non footy or sports related. It's a question and answer community about automotive related stuff.
There's only him and a couple of mates who are members at the moment.
Can I put the link up on LWOS and give him a bit of a hand? He'd appreciate it.

Incredible.
Months and months of hard work and it takes one clown to ruin it all in probably minutes.
I wish I knew who it was. I'd bomb his arse with a Mail Bomber with the most diverse selection of useless spam you could imagine. I did it as a joke to a mate and (accidently) sent him over 800 junk mail items. It took the poor buggerover half an hour to individually delete them all....and thenI sent it again just to piss him off. Never again though...or soI thought.
To the person who removed the links, I'd love to do it again...and again...and again...

BFB, there may be one positive to emerge from this and that is the anger generated by such a stupid act may push this thread beyond the 1000 posts barrier and it sure does deserve it. It is a great read so well done mate.

Having been subjected to repeated attacks from malicious (and time wasting) viruses of late, I can't tell you on a public forum what I'd like to do these friggin brats. Its a case of too much time on their hands.

But if it makes us feel any better, they dont like it when it happens to them.

I knew one such vandal about 5 years ago and he took great joy in stuffing up people's email inboxes with viruses. To put this in perspective, he was a smart kid but only 11 years old so he had no idea what it was like to cop something like this.

One day, someonesmarter sent back a virus and the kid was spitting chips... blaming the world. It was good to see him being taught a lesson.

I only say this because I believe what comes around will come around again. Smartarses like the prick who deleted the links will be on the receiving end of something much worse one day.

Infuzer, someone has simply gone into the links page and deleted all the links we had amassed in two years. We never moderated the links page because we never thought it neccessary and I don't expect the culprit to come forward in a hurry either.

It was not a hackas ney who is a member of this forum could add or delete links. I think Willow has changed this etting though.

Yeah, I've changed the settings so the link can only be altered or deleted by the member who puts up the link.

Managers can still edit the links section but in two years prior, we never had any complaints and have never intervened.

Sorry Fool, no can do. No search function like that but you can go back by the month which is a lot quicker than going previous 50 on and on.

To test the settings, can another member try and see if they have access to edit and / or delete these links please?
