Goalkicker - Thorman, Witt or Burt?

I guess every VNRL player wants to know who is likely to be this weeks goalkicker?

Sorry if this has already been mentioned in one of your previous threads, however if anyone knows the scoop on who has the goalkicking duties this weekend, it would be good to get the inside knowledge.

I have a feeling that it will be between Thorman and Burt.

( When playing PL together, who was kicking Thorman or Witt? )

Cheers!

Witt and Burt miss too many kicks that they should make and are about 50/50 on the hard ones which puts the team under a lot of pressure when other sides have guys who can kick them from everywhere. I reckon keep Thorman; debut kick from the sideline in a team under enormous pressure. Doesn't get much harder than that.

Witty's a pretty good kicker. Remember that one he kicked to win Parramatta that game against the Cowboys last year? Very cool under pressure.

But he also missed 2 sitters against the warriors which would have won us the game. He is better when the perceived pressure is less than the actual pressure, as are most young players. I just think Thorman has more experience at an elite level as a goal-kicker.

I believe it will be Burt.

He is more experienced.

Maybe Cliffy will get the nod, as his sole conversion last week was brilliant.

I doubt it will be Mick. Not 'cos he's not good enough, but I think he''l have enough to contend with trying to get us

I'd give Thorman a few more goes at it, a really good kick from the sideline on his debut, you cant deny that.

Witt or Thorman. Burt hasn't been up to it lately. I haven't seen Witt kick since the Manly game (when he kicked very well), so I really can't say between the two.

Leave Burt to take the kicks on the right side and either Witt or Thorman on the left. Best of both worlds! :p

I think Thorman would be able to kick from either side of the field. The one kick I have seen from him was from the left-hand wing. As it left his boot I thought it was way off because it started heading left of the uprights, and as a right-footed kicker I expected it to swing even further left. To my delight, it actually swung from left-to-right and straight between the posts.

as was mentioned earlier, i reckon Witty will be given the job of just getting set in 1st grade again - doubt the extra pressure of kicking would be handed to him.

i guess its a toss up between Thorman and Burt - Thorman's success rate is 100% in 1st grade and it was a tough kick as well. Burt's been pretty average so far this season, missing some easy ones and rarely getting the tough ones over. I reckon you'd have to give Thorman the job to start with.

I've got both of them in my VNRL side...

I'd have:

1st choice: Thorman
2nd choice: Witt

DAYLIGHT

3rd choice: Burt

Burt is an average kicker on his best days.

So does anyone here have firm confirmation , or are we all just putting up our choices as to who we " think " should do it...

Someone go ask Smithy for gods sake  ;-)

I'll get dropped for questioning the coach.......

I'd say its likely that if you have both Thorman and Witt use them as first and second choice. If one doesn't kick then you get the other ;-)

I'd go ask a friend at the club , but they aren't on speaking terms with the coach either

I wonder who that is

Witt should be given the job to kick, although given the only kicking he will be doing is taking the kickoffs I don't think it really matters now does it :p

If Parra want to win then Thorman

Witt has lost 3 reggies games by missing simple kicks
Burt has lost 2 1st grade games by missiong simple kicks.
