Goalkicking solution

Many dragons fans seem to be concerned about goalkicking.

If it proves to be a major problem for us, the solution in my opinion is this. (I have thought this since Head started kicking last season)

For tries on the right side of the field, use Head with the angle of his left footers to curl it back in towards the posts.

For tries on the left side of the field, use a right footer (i.e Gorrell) with the right footer's angle to curl it back in towards the posts.

In front, we use whoever is the better kicker.

It's similar to soccer....I mean football, the kicker from the left side is generally a right footer to curl it in towards the goal, the kicker from the left side is generally a right footer with the same effect on the opposite side.

IMO we have nothing to lose with this tactic, it may not produce fantastic results, but using the angle gives a kicker with a difficult angle a far better chance of landing it. We can't find a goalkicker this season, so I'm afraid we gotta use what we have to the best advantage, and let's use Head's ability to kick with the left foot from the right hand touchline. Unless we get rid of Best and stick Naiqama on the wing, he can kick can't he?

Yeah, Wes is a good kicker. If my memory serves me correctly, can't Ennis kick goals aswell??

I dont think we should rule out Colin Best as a winger yet...he has been on the brink of doing some great things but they have come undone 9mainly his ball handling), which is an easy fix. His defence isnt bad.

However, having said all that, I would easily put Niaqama on his wing if he wasnt so injury prone.

People are definatly exaggerating on the way Best is playing

Confidence is the key to goal-kicking. We've seen Head with great success with the boot some days. Others, shocking eg. Cowboys last year, Friday Night. I'm still backing him
