. who has impressed you enough to say they should be there come the grandfinal day

for me the only team that really impressed me enough was the titans.. the

roosters where lucky to get out of jail , and were really under the pump all game. that and the brian smith curse will strike again.

tigers while do have a good chance will find it hard to advance if they dont start putting 80 min performances in

panthers: all there injurys have finally caught up to them. had a great run at the start of the year , but havent been nowhere near the same team for the last few months.

raiders. although they have a lot of momentum at the moment , only time will tell what sort of team they have mentally. after seeing what the eels did last night it is hard to write them of atm. that being said , they arent the same sort of team as we where last year.

then it comes to the dragons. the title favorites. they will be there vsing the titans in the grandfinal. only because the quality of teams in the finals this year is the weakest its been in ages. although they "strangled" manly yesterday , i still was not convinced with it. any top 8 team would of put manly under the pump with the amount of players they had out. it was only 12-0 until the final stages of the game when the game was long gone and they put on 3 tries. if they just opt for the 2 points every chance they get , against a team like the titans they will get done. all in all if the dragons will ever win a premiership its this year or never(since the storm are out)...

so my tip is dragons( vs titans. and titans winning it.

i think you're being a touch harsh on Saints

Manly played very negative footy, laying all over the ruck, off side for most of the game and doing what ever they could to slow the game down.

smart tactics but always bound to give penalties away within shooting range.

penalties within shooting distance aside, Maxwell did everything he could to keep Manly in that game for as long as he could.

Saints did what they needed and when the scoredboard was in their favour they gave the ball some air.

to hold a team to nil (with i think zero line breaks) is a pretty impressive result.

no i'm not counting any chickens yet, but i think you've been a bit harsh on Saints.

f**k off saying we were lucky against the Tigpies they threw the kitchen sink at us and had an hour of dominance and scored 15 points, we scored 13 in 15 minutes after absorbing all their pressure.

I've noticed people are coming out with the 'if Saints manage to win, it'll only be because of.. x reason, y reason, z reason'

They are now having to think about the horror of it actually happening, and are starting to cushion it already.

'since the storm are out' puh lease. It's everyone's best chance in years to win, because the cheating grime arn't around to do the job with better staff. This is a positive for the game! Not something that should be drawn back from the eventual winners, whoever they might be.

The hate and excuses get stronger every week. It's been years since we've seen this sort of hatred, it only means one thing... Opposition fans are worried.

At the end of the day you can only play what's in front of you and we only played in 1st gear, and still won by 28 points without showing any cards for the upcoming games. To keep any team to zero (and linebreaks) in a finals match is a pretty tough feat...

I personally believe it'll end up being titans v dragons... It'll be a matter of who is best on the day will take the prize. Both teams at full strength and in good form are pretty evenly matched.

I am tipping a Saints vs Titans Final

That's what I'm picking, but it's hard to pick Saints with absolute confidence only because Canberra have the uncanny ability of beating them. Finals are a different thing though.

Hard to see the Tigers getting up over Canberra this week. They have the players to do it, but they're going to be mentally and physically drained after the Roosters game and will need a big effort to get up.

Roosters are the same, big effort to get up Mentally/Physically, but at the same time I don't see anything to inspire confidence in Penrith. Having Petro back will help, but losing Waterhouse and Pritchard makestheir limited attack appear even more limited on paper.

I really don't think that the Titans are fit enough to win the competition this year (in the sense of they are carrying a lot of injuries).

I am picking a Roosters v Dragons final at this stage- I think the Roosters' win on the weekend will be massive for their confidence

Be tough game to win in Brisbane after a 6 day turn around, when the Tigers/Raiders winner gets an 8 day break before the dragons match. Seems a bit dumb.

80% of them will be fixed up with the week off. They they should beat the Roosters/Panthers at Suncorp then they only need to get up for 80minutes more.
