Great Team effort again ! even wihout our strike weapons Gi And Coal Train on Origin duty. Everyone did their job all the rookies did well Farell was the only worry out there. Good to see the repeat sets in this game the most all season. The refs again making 2 errors not picking up The Luke trip and the Crocker penalty which nearly cost us the game. Madge is doing a great job with the team and players coming up from the lower grades.

Have to agree that the Crocker penalty was weak. No penalty whatsoever , and could have cost us the game but the boys hung in there. I don't rate Suttor at all, has some terrible calls in him.

On the penalty thing this is actually the third game in a row where we lost the penalty count but still won the game. That actually makes me happy cause it means we win off the back of playing good footy and has nothing to do with 50/50 calls or ref mistakes. At the end of the day we win because we defend our mistakes, complete our sets and don't let the bad calls become excuses.

Yep, the last 3 penalty counts went this way:

3-8
6-9
3-5

Interestingly, we had not lost one before this, winning 6 and drawing 1.

The good thing is in these last 3 games, the bulk of our penalties haven't come in the ruck. They're due to high tackles, offsides etc.

These are indiscretions that can be easily eradicated. Great to see that our wrestling tactics don't attract penalties.
