Good on you for sticking your neck out Madcat but tbh choosing a team based solely on stats is going to bring you up short. Thurston was quite clearly half of the week IMO

Smith ahead of Thurston..surely you are kidding me!
Unfortunately I’m not kidding you lockyno1. It’s always a tough decision selecting the best halfback of the round and this week is no different.

Funny... Price didn't even play that well
We are talking about Steve Price here. An average Steve Price is better then 85.0% of the Props in the competition playing to the best of their ability.

And this is where the problem is, relying on stats alone. Well done for doing a side, but realistically any side without Thurston in the side somewhere after the way he played on friday has massive flaws! If you have to chuck Thurston at 5/8 ahead of Inglis who was not that great anyway!

Thurston played 60 minutes against a better opposition when 30 less points were scored by the his team than Tim Smiths, yet he still got 2 try assists.

Tim Smith plays 80 minutes against a shocking opposition and his team scores 30 more points than Thurstons, and only gets 2 more try assists.

It’s ok people! It’s my opinion. Everyone is entitled to it. It creates discussion on the previous round that’s all.

Thurston always plays really well against the dogs. I know he plays really well generally but his last few games against the dogs have been pretty special. I hope the dogs fired the guy that let thurston go:)
