We don't get a lot of Aussie rock on this side of the Tasman but I'm wearing out my Wolfmother CD, great Led Zeppelin/Deep Purple influenced rock.

Butterfly Effect are awesome, great aussie band. Took me a few listens but IMAGO is an awesome album, I still prefer Begins Here.

COG....they are awesome and as mentioned have toured with TBE...

Cog, IMO are a step above most other acts in Australia at the moment. Just have to listen to their EP's (available off their site for free download) to hear how good they are.

The album "The New Normal" is alot more polished than the EP's, and definately worth the purchase.

Karnivool are also awesome, got an Australian tour in September (before they go into recording), suggest fans of rock/metal to get out and see them, never had my bowels shaken more then when I saw them at the Carringbah Bizzo's.

Also would suggest Japunga
