I am a NRL fan and don't get to watch much SL and i need to know some stuff about some of the players and if it isnt to much effort it would be much appreciated if you could help out a bit.
I need to know:
Who are some of the best front rowers/2nd Rowers/Halfbacks in the SL?
Thanks;-)

2007 Dream Team

1. Paul Wellens, St Helens (2005,2006)
2. Kevin Penny, Warrington Wolves (debut)
3. Adam Mogg, Catalans Dragons (debut)
4. Jason Demetriou, Wakefield Trinity Wildcats (debut)
5. Scott Donald, Leeds Rhinos (debut)
6. Trent Barrett, Wigan Warriors (debut)
7. Rob Burrow, Leeds Rhinos (2005)
8. Nick Fozzard, St Helens (debut)
9. James Roby, St Helens (debut)
10. Jamie Peacock, Leeds Rhinos (2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005)
11. Gareth Ellis, Leeds Rhinos (2006)
12. Glen Morrison, Bradford Bulls (debut)
13. Stephen Wild, Huddersfield Giants (debut)

2008 Dream Team

1. Clint Greenshields (Catalans Dragons) – debut
2. Scott Donald (Leeds Rhinos) - 2007
3. Matt Gidley (St Helens) - debut
4. George Carmont (Wigan Warriors) – debut
5. Ade Gardner (St Helens) - debut
6. Leon Pryce (St Helens) - debut
7. Rob Burrow (Leeds Rhinos) – 2005 and 2007
8. James Graham (St Helens) – debut
9. Keiron Cunningham (St Helens) - 1996, 2000, 2001,2002 , 2005, 2006
10. Jamie Peacock (Leeds Rhinos) - 2000, 2001, 2002,2003, 2005, 2007
11. Gareth Ellis (Leeds Rhinos) – 2003, 2006, 2007
12. Ben Westwood (Warrington Wolves) - debut
13. Kevin Sinfield (Leeds Rhinos) – 2005, 2006

Some of the selections are a bit questionable for the Dream Team, as it is chosen by journalists who don't know that much, and they also always pick a Wigan player hence Carmont's inclusion. However that's a rough guide to some of the better players over the past two seasons.

Watch it on 9 next year, you'll find it's a lot more open and has a more attacking style of play than the NRL.

Depends what you mean by good, SL good aint the same as NRL good.

The ones that come to mind are

Front Row: Sam Burgess, Ewan Dowes, Peter Cusack, Jamie Peacock, Kylie Leuluai, James Graham, Jason Cayless, Gareth Carvell,
Second Row: Steven Wild, Clint Newton, Jamie Jones-Buchcanan, Ali Lauititi, Jon Wilkin, Chris Flannery, Tony Puletua, John Clough, Greg Eastwood, Gareth Hock,
Halfback: Brent Shirwin, Chris Thorman, Rob Burrow, Sean Long, Michael Monaghan

And close by are

Front Row: Andy Lynch, Nick Scruton, Earl Crabtree, Paul King, Ryan Bailey, Luke Burgess, Maurie Fasavalu, Danny Sculthorpe, Stuart Fielden
Second Row: Phil Bailey
Halfback: Paul Deacon, Danny Brough,

Some of those players aren't so good. Phil Bailey is garbage and Brent Sherwin, Cusack, Flannery and Monaghan did nothing last year and are living on their NRL reputations. I would rate Lynch as one of the best front rowers in the league. Other than that though, a pretty accurate list.

Best locks IMO are Kevin Sinfield, Joe Westerman, Rob Purdham and Stephen Wild. Watch out for Joel Tomkins from Wigan too, if he carries on improving could be in with a shout of the England squad.

He is not a Super League player yet because he has only just turned 17, but the beast in the middle is Ian Thornley, just after scoring an awesome try v Bradford.

Sale RU were desperate to sign him and offered him a sh*tload but he is staying at Wigan for now.

One to watch.
