the ausies start there world cup campaine with a win agaist argentina. it wasnt a very good game. the wallabies made alot of mistakes and if it wasnt for the argentinians making more they may not have one. but a win is a win.

who thinks this winning streak will continue throughout the rest of the world cup?

I thought Rogers and Wendal looked good. I thought it very ironic that the first try scorer for the RWC was a League convert (Did anyone see Brad Thorns try for the AB's fantastic try, you could have put a Broncos jumper on him he looked like he was back playing league :)).

I think Rogers is better at full back and made some telling runs. Over all the first game after a 2 month break there are going to be some mistakes, the next game you will start to see if the Wallabies have improved. Aus team cannot be under rated they like the fact that they are not the favories and all the talk is about Eng/NZ and Frn.

It was a pretty solid start. I was pleased with the ball movement by the backs, so I think they will only get better.

I was VERY impressed with France as well. Some of those hits that the big Fijians put on them were huge. They played very well Fiji, so for France to knock up a score like they did shows some pretty ominous signs for the rest of the tournament.

I agree Fizman, I thought France looked very dangerous, I had actually picked Fiji to beat France as I didnt think they were in very good nick. But Fiji's ill discipline let them down. France to their credit took all their chances the ball seemed to stick and their backline looked very good.

Aus I think will only get better as they play a more settled backline. Aus forward pack looked very good. I thught Arg would blow them off the park but it was the other way around. Once Arg get out side of there country they never seem able to lift a bit like the Indian cricket team :).
