I was watching crash the other day...not a bad flick.

It does have a great scene in it though...I went through like 3 different emotions in 4 seconds. Got me thinking...

What is the best scene from a movie?

- Loved the one when In the heat of the night when big sid slaps the cop.
- Life is beautiful...when the little boy is in the barrell. What a killer...

What scene gave you goosebumps?

Anyone who has seen Irreversible will know the scene in the french pedestrian tunnel - it gave me goosebumps but for all the wrong reasons. That movie messed with my head completely, and put me through every bad emotion possible. The only movie ever to have a warning from the producers that they are not responsible for "epileptic fits and psychological harm" that may occur while watching.

As far the best scene I've ever seen - the tank scene in Buffalo Soldiers. Probably the funniest thing I've seen on film.

Biggest Goosebump Scene - When Jake the Muss gets his son out of all sorts by getting him out of the Black Snakes hangout. Not for the violence, but that is truly when he got his life back on track.

The all time funniest scene is when Vince and Jules are cleaning the 'dead n****r's skull' from the car in Pulp Fiction. Great dialogue. In fact the entire 10-15 minutes spent at that house after shooting Marvin's face off is brilliant.

As for Goosebumps, I enjoy watching the warden find out that Tim Robbins has just escaped from Shawshank prison.

And The Ring for suspense (the image of Samara climbing up the well iand later out of the TV is chilling).

For suspense, the scene in the Godfather part 1 where Michael Corleone goes into the restaurant to commit his first murder.

That would also be up there in my all time best scenes,

also near the beginning of Pulp Fiction with Jules and Vincent going into the apartment to collect the brief case.

In the Big Lebowski, where Walter pulls the gun on that dude at the Bowling alley for not marking a zero when he stepped over the line;

Napolean Dynamite - the big dance sequence at the end

A Clockwork Orange - where Alex is taken in by the guy who he beat up and whos wife he raped, and he's singing 'singin in the rain' and the guy realises.

Dr Strangelove - At the end where they're all arguing in the war room.

Baywatch Hawaiin Reunion - the scene where Mitch realises his fiance Allison, who he believes is Stephanie Holdens twin sister (but has actually undergone reconstructive surgery to make herself look like Stephanie, Mitch's late wife) is actually evil and plans on exacting revenge on all the baywatch stars.

What about the "alien in the tummy" scene from the original "Alien" movie? Bit of a heart-starter when I first saw it.

The scene where Linda Blair does her spider impression in "The Exorcist" is also a little disconcerting.

As for messing with one's brain, the scene in "Mullholland Drive" where they slip into the box about midway through the movie. I was just starting to think the movie was making some sense, then all hell broke loose.

Can't quite remember the name of the movie... The Forgotten or something? The scene where they're in the car and a truck comes heading straight to them and the way it was shot, makes you feel as though you're in the car. That sent my heart racing.

You should watch "Saw II"...Wow lol.

I can't believe nobody mentioned this one...

"The Silence of The Lambs".

(1) That scene in the basement.

(2) "She puts the lotion on the skin!"

(3) The part where the 'cop' is in the back of the ambulance, 'unconscious', and he suddenly gets up and we see that it was Lecter all along...

And the Japanese version of "The Ring"...Few movies are creepier IMO...

Yes! "The Usual Suspects" ending scene is also great!

Anyone interested in foreign films, I highly recommend "Oldboys".

It's a great film with lots of twists, and the ending gives you goosebumps...

For me...it was when they brought hoby back to life after he was place under that net!!

What suspense....

Loved the usual suspects scene...pure brilliance.
The end of sixth sense also got the hairs standing on end.

Just thought of another one, the Tiny Dancer singalong scene in Almost Famous.

It was a crap film, but there is a moment in "House of Wax" that gave me goosebumps...

The part where the guy is trapped in the lab and the bad masked guy gets thos huge scissors and snaps the good guy's Achilles....Ouch...

Also, in "SAW"....The closet scene...The man in the closet....Ugh...Also, where the blonde guy is kidnapped (just the way you see the rear passenger door open, then this grotesque figure crawls out, and the WAY in which it crawls...Ugh).
