Many happy returns Yappy...21 again?

Have a great night tomorrow. Wish I could go, but my missus works on Saturday nights, gotta be home with the kids.

Looking forward to seeing who gets the awards, especially the Jack Ashley Memorial. That’s my dad.

Wayde owes me big time.

This dude came up to me at Macarthur Square with lust in his eyes. Just couldn't keep his eyes off me in the glory that is a Wests Victa jersey. Turns out he's an old Auburn boy like myself and it looks like another sale coming up for the Footy Shop Narellan.

Yappy,

where abouts from Auburn did you live... I lived there for about 25 years before moving to Kings Langley. I lived in Myall Street, which ran off Albert Rd. I remember when Wests were still at Lidcombe, and I was so proud at one time to have Lee Crooks and Ron Broderick as close neighbours.

And also Happy Birthday (do you feel invincible with the Victa jumper. I know I did)

ha we were bloody neighbours.

I lived in Renshaw Ave - just up the hill from your place. Knew a few people from school (Berala Public) that lived in Myall St and so went down that way a bit. Used to get my lollies at the shop on the corner of Albert and Cumberland ;-)

I went to Berala Public, and left in 1976 to go to Birrong Boys. We used to play park football at Angus Park, which as you know is in your former street. Perhaps you could have played in some of those often physical games (well for park footy anyway)

When did you leave Berala ?

Hell yeah. Played footy at Angus Park every day between March and September from maybe 78 til who knows 84? They sure were physical. Especially when I was usually the smallest out there (in the early days at least). The game would start as soon as we could get there after school and end when the light got too bad to see. Great times. - It was Cricket at Angus in the off season. Great reward for the cut shot if you could get it between the cars parked in front of St Joseph's.

Not much doubt we locked horns.

I have no doubt we would have an encounter or two. We used to borrow a mates mower, and cut in a wicket at the park.

What is your first name Yappy?

Happy Bday, but someone needs to have a good chat to your daughter...... Imagine spending your hard earned on something of that significance........ you may as well have burned the cash!

GO BALMAIN!
