Thats like saying ' if only i won the lotto, got in shape, had a few more inches put on jack the dripper and became a porn star '. At that point he became a cheerleader for NSW. Whats worse is that nobody in the box called him on it and said ' hey phil, what if QLD had the same intensity they did in the first two game ' etc etc.

I don't see what is wrong with it and if anything he is being critical of NSW about how they have really lacked - he said over two series - intensity and desire to win and he is 100% spot on.

NSW problem has not been a lack of talent it has been a lack of commitment and Queensland have been there for the taking in the last 2 series and we haven't put them away.

Gould is spot on and this win actually makes things more painful because it is a reminder of what we can do.

The ball never separated from his hand. The ball bounced after he grounded it. That doesn't mean there was separation. It was a try. No doubt.

Gould was spot on with his Comments about nsw and if the selectors had started with kimmorley,Ennis and Barrett then the blues would have won the series.
The maroons have been lucky to win this one and they won't be favs to win the next as Civoniceva and Price will be another year older as will the blues debutants from this series and Stewart will return to full back.

Thread = fail. Every man, woman, child, animal, and Queenslander knows Gus supports NSW. He coached us for 8 years for crying out loud. He was expressing exactly what every NSW fan watching the game was thinking or saying to themselves - why the hell didn't we play with that level of commitment in games 1 & 2? We may not have won, but we could have given it a shake at least.

For mine, the current Queensland team is not a patch on the team from 87-89. They took NSW by the scruff of the neck and ground us into the turf. The current team has done enough to win against woeful opposition and not much more.

Completely justified. NSW played like mistaken riddled softcocks for two games. Even though we won, it was a bit depressing thinking that they were capable of this all along and didn't show it.
