May 04 - Matthew Bell and Brett Howland have been added to the squad which will travel to Townsville for the clash with the Cowboys.
This brings the total number of players to 19, including Frank Pritchard, who is playing for the Kiwis in Friday night's Test between Australia and New Zealand in Brisbane.
The team always travels with at least one additional player when the game is interstate.

May 05 - Craig Gower has pulled out of the squad to play the Cowboys tomorrow night.
His rib cartilage injury is still giving him trouble.
Nick Youngquest has been added to the squad, which flies to Townsville later this morning.
Coach John Lang will decide on his starting line-up after a training session at Dairy Farmers this evening.

My tip will be as follows: PRESTO to HALFBACK, LEWIS TO 5/8th, YOUNGQUEST INTO CENTRES

hmmm...

It'll more than likely be

1. Wesser
18. Youngquest - hope its not true that he can't play there.
3. Galea
2. Gordon
5. Rooney
4. Lewis
6. Campbell

If Presto is half...we shouldn't be weakened too much.

I think we've finally realised the benefit of dummy half running.

Sharks ripped Cowboys apart in their game straight up the middle.

Ah sh*te!!!

Certainly hope it Preston into half, gower into 5/8.

Not that priddis was that bad at half last week. I think the way the team as a whole performed meant it was always going to be difficult for him to make a fist of the job.

I disagree Richie...who have we got?.

Peter Wallace would certainly be there if he wasn't injured.

Wayne Bond just isn't ready yet.

I wouldn't mind Priddis going back to halfback...I don't think he did THAT badly last week...let's face it noone was REALLY helping him.

Granted Preston should be half with Lewis 5/8 but if Priddis plays half, that'll give Matt Bell a chance at a debut off the bench.

However I reckon dummy half running again will win this game so the interchange of Priddis/Aiton from Dummy half and quick darts will be pivotal...so maybe having them both on the field at the same time the whole 80 min might help...as long as Priddis plays a dummy half's role in attack setting up Preston...while also taking a few plays from halfback while aiton goes to dummy half and runs.

I think you'll find Priddo will play some of the game at Halfback, when Aiton comes on. I think Danny might see some time on the bench in this one when Aiton comes on.

I don't mind it tbh...it at least gives us some options to change the game plan if somethings not working.

I think Howland or Bell will come in.

Either Priddo to half,Aiton to hooker and Bell on the bench or Howland to wing and Gordan to centre.

I wouldn't mind seeing Howland come in at fullback but I doubt that's going to happen.

Youngquest to Left wing, Rooney to Left Centre (Played there in Juniors), Lewis to 5/8 and Presto to Half.

I like the idea of Rooney at centre because it gives him the chance to use the ball more...but while he played there in juniors do u think he has the skills now to pass the ball instead of going himself?

Used to pass it all right when he played for St.Doms. Might just be what he needs.

yeah St Dom's and now are two different things but. Schoolboy isn't exactly the pace of the NRL.

I think it wouldn't be a bad move as I think he's wasted when he's not in the air contesting bombs which have just gone out of our game the last two years.

Matt Bell should come in.

He has looked the goods all year. I think he came off the bench in round one in PL against the Bulldogs. Last week he started and played very well, he deserves a shot in firsts.

Ah bugger!

As we showed against Parra, we can win matches without Gower... but the way that we have been playing lately, you would have to say that the Cowboys odds have shortened somewhat now.

It will be interesting to know how Langy uses the players tonight. I'm filthy I can't watch it to find out myself. :(
