Jun 18 - Craig Gower has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Sharks at Toyota Park.
He took part in training with the squad at Penrith Stadium this afternoon and although he was running easily, it was decided to give him another week to recuperate from his knee injury.
"I had a chat with the physio and we decided that it wasn't worth the risk," coach John Lang said.
John hasn't yet made up his mind on a replacement for Craig at halfback or how he will restructure his backs, but Ben Rogers and Danny Galea trained with the side this afternoon. Daniel Russell is also a possible starter.
A decision will be made tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Penrith's SOO2 players - Luke Lewis, Ben Ross, Trent Waterhouse, Luke Rooney and Rhys Wesser - have all been declared fit for Sunday. Rooney trained lightly because of a knock to one leg but he will be fine by game time.
