Like sand through the hour glass, these are the days of Gower's life. (don't watch the show, so sorry if i got the saying wrong!)

Was that the most blatant dive ever?! That effort would have brought a tear to Joey Johns' eye! Satts hits him across the chest and the arm slips up and taps "Gowie" on the chin and he goes down like he's taken a bullet to the head  He then stays down like a Mike Tyson victim and in what can only be described as a miracle, the work of Jesus! he gets up when he here's the whistle and then proceeds to kick for touch, catch, run and spread the ball wide like nothing ever happended.

Please dont whinge Penrith fans, because he pretty much admitted to it after the game. All of a sudden the claims of Roosters fans that he took a dive when Morely tapped him dont seem so outlandish do they?...not that they were in the first place. But let's not make this a "Morley did smash him" thread, because the last thing i want to do is take the focus away from a cat act from captain cat! :D

Melon you took the post out of my mouth. I was going to come on tonight and start a similar topic.

It is saddening to see a player act so blatantly in a game of football.

Its one thing to milk a penalty, but to roll around like you are in pain like he did when Sattler barely patted him in a tackle, and at various other stages of the game is not sportsmanship at all.

Gower dissapointed me tonight, he is a great footballer, and he'd be best served losing that aspect of his game.

It was crap.

It goes way beyond the blokes who play for a cramp to waste a bit of time, taking dives in order to get your team a penalty.

The worst part was he smirked about it after the game and practically admitted he acted for an Oscar nomination.

It's about time refs woke up to Craig Gower's dives. Tonight he collapsed like he'd been shot and lay on the ground unbtil he got the penalty. The replay showed it hit his shoulder and he owns up after the match that he'd got the penalty. Then bounces up and kicks for touch.

Not in the spirit of the game and the Panthers score from the penalty in the next six to win the game.

Well done to the Tiges, they deserved better, especially with the other dodgy decisions in the last few minutes.

And the pretend blinking and refocusing, as he perfectly kicked for touch. If he was dazed, Campbell would have taken the kick.

Sportsjock...he aint that great a footballer....but he just elevated himself even higher in the tosser stakes.

You beat me to it too Melon! ;-) The fact that so many people thought of it shows that it was so obvious.

Three "Gower takes a dive" threads, and all from Roosters supporters.

But yeah, I agree. It was so obvious... although the tackle was late, but the ref would've have picked it up had he got up straight away.

The other try Penrith scored came from a penalty they shouldnt have been awarded (Amos's second try). I feel for Wests, they outplayed Penrith and deserved the game. In my eyes the score was 20-16 Tigers.

Can you be put on report for a tackle where the initial contact was with the chest then rolls up???

bad penalty... turning point in that game for me.

as with the other 2 dodgey calls in the last 2 mins

The little *edit* cost us Morley for a week with his acting, and now Wests and Sattler will pay for it as well.

This type of cowardly play should be stamped out of the game. He got up and kicked for touch for farks sake...as if he was groggy!!

I agree. He took a dive. But he got the penalty, in a game where Steve Clark was having trouble seeing Penrith Football Stadium let alone the game that was being played in it. & touch judges - why have them?

Ah you rooster fans....so bitter and twisted.

How do you know that the shot by Sattler didn't hurt him?? You tried to accuse gower with the same thing with Morley's hit on him in round 4.

And if you don't consider him a great footballer melon, then that's your opinion, if that helps you get through life. He showed your mob back in round 4 what a great footballer he is.

Regardless whether or not he "milked" the penatly, the penalty deserved to be given. Are you telling me that the roosters don't try and milk penalties - of course not!! They're good little boys, especially Hodges  Right melon????

Melon always has a vendetta against whoever is threatening the rooster’s stance as the superior team. Last year it was the bulldogs, now it’s the panthers.

LOL. It goes to show how dirty we were that Morley copped a week because of Gower 'aka' Irina Lashko. This time everyone realises it was a dive, so why couldnt they back then!
