Wow, some massive overreactions here.

Like undertaker says, his actions in the Super League war pissed a lot of ARL fans off. Newcastle fans loathed him for running a club that tried to drive out their beloved Knights. Steelers fans loathed him for repaying five years of loyalty by stealing players for a competition that in no small part resulted in the eventual loss of their club's identity.

Doesn't mean he wasn't a great coach. Doesn't even mean he wasn't a great guy. Just saying he pissed a lot of people off at a certain point in his career.
