Agreed. He also misses a lot of crucial tackles, and gives away a lot of penalties.

Long long way of first grade IMO.

Balmain looked pretty ordinary in NSW cup GF. Couldn't score a point. I now understand why Josh Lewis hasn't played 1st grade yet.

Think u20's were good enough to win, just a bit of bad luck.

I said the exact same thing to a mate I was watching the game with. His 5th tackle options were digraceful. I humbly apologise to Shines for my criticism for not giving him a shot a first grade.

I have nfi how that last storm try wasnt at least referred to the video ref. It looked at least on the one replay i saw as if the storm player knocked it on.

Hyland made some crucial errors, but worked his backside off.
Lui was rubbish
Dwyer, Mullaney and Fifita all looked very good
Schirnak, the other Fifita and Woods I think have better games in them, but still went alright
Curran had a very good game off the bench
Corby, Florimo, Nicholls, Jackson and Savou were solid
Wiseby and Clarke lacked any real punch

I agree with most of this assessment, but Wiseby had a shocker defensively. Too many one on one misses which lead to points.

Why didn't Lui run? Kicking game was very ordinary.

Nichols' pass with ten to go which went straight into the hands of the storm, was crucial.

There is no video ref in Toyota cup, due to most games not being shown on tv. Was a 50/50 call IMO, at least the ref made a choice.
