Scenario

You go to every home game with your mates, 6 of you - through thick and thin you're there. However with the Grand Final things get difficult

One of your mates has been offered a ticket by another different mate and won't be with you.

Your other mates are cash strapped and have baulked at the cost of GF tickets. They may have taken bronze, but anything more is beyond what they will pay. Bronze have all sold out.

You spend hours trawling through gumtree and e-bay looking for 5 bronze tickets only to be told that one guy is definitely out and will be having a BBQ at his place. The others have all decided to join him to stay together.

It's a small unit, far from where you live with a small tv.

Options.

Join the crew. It's not what you want to do, but mates mean more than the team.

Buy tickets for the Roosters supporter section and go to the game on your own. You can meet your other mate before and after the game for beers. When the game is on you rarely talk to anyone anyway.

Stay home and watch on a big screen with beers of your choice. No post game travel.

Go to the game. We need all the support we can get. You want to be there when Mini lifts the trophy. All people around you in Red, White & Blue are your friends.

And what a great story to tell people in years to come.
Happy to meet you for a beer at Homebush myself!

You know it makes sense.

I've gone to games by myself before. Not the worst thing ever once the game starts. Wouldn't miss this GF for anything

I agree with the consensus, go to the game. If they're mates they'll understand why you are going. With league the way it is, you never know when any team will make a Grand Final so if the opportunity is there, take it.

This. I've been to plenty by myself, mostly in 2009 when no one was turning up  nothing worse than a friend that doesn't shut up during a game too. My mate is that guy all game "hit it up" "get up on them" "c'mon Frankie have a go" drives me mental.

Definitely go to the game. You will never forgive yourself if we win and you miss the boys lifting the trophy.

Babyface - I will be heading to Homebush between 3.30pm and 4pm - by time of start of U20's game. Will be able to have a beer at the pub across from the ground

One mate has decided to watch at home and the others have decided to hit a pub in town / East. If I'd known that before yesterday I would have talked them into East Leagues and not bought a ticket.

Fingers crossed all this happened for a reason.

PS. Tone - I spend most of the game screaming things like "'ave is f**kin 'ead" and "oi you cheating f**king pink worm merkin" or "fffffffffuuuuuuuucccccckkkkkkkkk arrgghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh waaaaaaaaaanker"

Maybe that's why my mates didn't want to go with me
