We don’t. I guess to outsiders and casuals, the sport that gets the international acts must be a bigger deal than the one that gets the Jimmy Barnes-type entertainers. They don’t see that instead, it smacks of desperation.

I agree. It’s all blown out of proportion. Pre game entertainment should be just that. Katy Perry is yesterday’s news. Paying overs for a has been is non sensical. From memory match stats don’t include a category for pre game entertainment.

Operative word being "most"

Get a decent act the kiddies enjoy and it may just entice a few more to be in attendance or watch - If you're just going to throw some no-name pub band up there it's going to look amateur as shit, no matter what us rusted on fans think
