Scotty Sattler will retire after the year is over. No doubt a great Panther in his time, and did one of the most amazing things in Grand Final History. Chasing Down a winger and basically saving the Grand Final.

was a very good clubman, and very loyal.

I wish him well and he will always be a panther in my eyes.

Just a champion.

He has a chronic knee problem which has deteriorated faster than he expected it to, and it requires surgery at season's end.

Being the decent guy that he is, he is informing the club about it now, as he has no way of knowing how well or how quickly he
might recover from the operation, and he is giving the club plenty of time to buy a replacement for him.

Pretty damn good of him if you ask me. He could easily have done an Andrew Johns, Trent Barrett or even a Terry HIll,
and had the op, and then sat around for months on end collecting the club's money, and then way down the track,
if the doctors decided that the injury wouldn't heal well enough, he could just walk away at the beginning of a season leaving
the club totally in the lurch.

But NO........that would not be Satts's way. Instead he pulls the plug now, which is doing the right thing by everyone, and
does himself out of some easy money in the process. Now THAT is typical Satts.

Onya Satts. You will always be a champion Panther to me.
