Melbourne by 20, they have been clinical these past few weeks....Parra should have run away against the Dogs....but they only won by 10....i see Melbourne peaking in the GF and playing one of their best games in the past few seasons...

Let the media and consensus be then that Storm are going in underdone...a dangerous way of thinking.

Media can think what they like Anderson won't be.
I think we'll put up a better defensive wall than brisbane and offer a little more in attack though.

I think Melbourne will win. I like how they have gone about it. Actually Melbourne have been an amazing side. I would like to see them win another grand final so they will always be considered among the best ever.

Four grand final appearances in a row, three minor premierships. Sure they haven't won premierships as they should have. They were dead set robbed in 2006 and 2008 it was clear they had just run out of steam. ( I mean obviously with hindsight) but what they have achieved since 2006 has been amazing.

Which side was the last to make four grand finals in a row. I know the Roosters made four grand finals in five years with only the 2001 decider between Parra and Newcastle breaking the chain.

the eels have to try and not let Hayne do too much. If the Storm shut him out of the game....do you guys have have someone else that will step up and trouble us? Not saying you are a one man team...but obviously he is a huge part of the attacking success this year.

Im confident our wingers/centres can handle the eels guys...Nielson is going alright, Chambers sucks but hopefully can pull a rabbit out of his hat.

I think Sterlo said it was Parramatta in the 80's? Either way, it's an awesome achievement for any team.

As much as I hate them they do deserve it more than Parra and moreso than in previous years as we haven't seen the grappling tactics that had them dominating two years ago.

It's as though some people think Manly and Brisbane just suddenly turned into sh1t teams overnight and then played the storm.
They were both real contenders and they both were smashed.

Brisbane lost their halfback. You don't think that was a factor?

Mateo. A two edged sword admittedly.

Titans shut Hayne down quite well. Parra still won quite well after losing Mortimer very early on as well with Mateo stepping up.

Parra in 1981 to 1984 were the last team to crack it 4 times in a row.
They did manage to win 3 of those 4 though (1981,1982,1983, with B Kenny scoring two tries in each game)

That didn't cause them to let in 7 tries.
And Wallace didnt stop then conseding 32 v the Titans. Looking at the 7 tries

1st: Chambers scored with a gapping hole which parramatta are better 2nd: Slater scored a good
3rd: Johnson dropped the ball over the line, bad call
Inglus then scored two tries out wide from bad defence and an intrecpt and Slater scores a try when Hunt should have caught the ball on the full and not even attempted to swipe.

Of the Melbourne 3 tries I would say 3 came from good play (2 of Inglis and Slater 1st) and the other 4 came from very bad defence.

Parramatta have conseded more than 2 tries in a game twice in the last 11 weeks (v Dragons and Tigers). IMO we have the defence to frustrate Melbourne and beat them but they deserve favouritism.
