Good game by two very good teams. Raiders took it right to the panthers but they were too classy at the end. Hope they go on with it.

Riff vs NZ next week. Great attacking sides. Should be a beauty. Will be 150 points scored between them.

Penrith havent conceded 40 all year. They won't be starting now. Going to take a terrible day from Penrith and a great day from the Warriors. They haven't played a team in the class of Penrith or Canberra for the last month.

Don't know if its going to the cake walk some are predicting it to be. The Warriors have been playing a fair few of their top liners in NSW Cup up until a week or two ago. Since they've been back they've looked a mile better. On top of that, John Ackland knows how to win a NYC Grand Final, and it is his last game with the club, so hopefully the young guys fire up for him.

I'm predicting a tight one, like it was v the Cowboys two or three years ago.

The Warriors conceded all 38 points scored against them in a period of just over 40 minutes, 20 either side of halftime. They conceded 34 of them in a period of 27 minutes. Not many teams reach Grand Finals after such carve-ups have been inflicted on them, but their opponents were even worse. Defensive lapses like this will be ruthlessly punished in the GF, by a team who are renowned for their own defence.

The Warriors' defence appears to be based on having possession and scoring points, but it won't be enough next week.

The warriors are in to there 3rd GF in 4 years... They know how to win NYC.

The Warriors will win again next week... Just too much talent.

To be completely honest... The Warriors would have been minor premiers if they hadn't had a major change in the clubs philosophy to juniors.

All the best U20's players have been pushed up to NSW Cup... Now that the Vulcans are out... They were put back in to the NYC for the finals.

John Ackland doesn't agree with it... Which is why he's leaving.

Penrith did exactly the same thing

Moss, Jennings, Wilson, Satini, Roberts, Evans, Foster, Campbell-Gillard, Moseley, Cartwright, Smith and Yeo all played NSW Cup this year.

Penrith sent all their best kids to NSW Cup from Round 11 and brought them back in Round 23 against the Warriors in Auckland.

The GF will be a toss-up.

The Warriors with their flair of scoring tries and the Panthers with their great defense and attack.

The only blight on Penrith's game is the ability to sustain the defense in the latter stages of the game.

And there where moments in that game yesterday were the Panthers looked rattled with some silly decision making which led to some comical errors.

Above everything, they need to learn not to panic in attacking situations were they feel that they have this need to score in ever set of six.

IF they get the balance right, the Panthers should get this win on the back of some determined defense which should set them up for some great attacking flair.

Panthers in a close one after extra time 28-24.

As a guide for favoritism, the tab has the Panthers $1.50-Warriors $2:60

Appears is the right word. It's really not the case. They can defend.

Their opponents were made to look worse by a good team. A team that is still developing after having changed their team all season with NSW Cup. None the less, Ackland knows how to win these games.

The question for them is how they stop Cartwright and co.

Not many teams get to the grand final off the back of 13 errors and 42 missed tackles, yet here we are.

Impossible to predict. These are kids. Nearly every team has shown an ability to concede 2-3 tries in bunches and under the pressure of a GF there's no way to know how it will unfold.

Penrith are deserved favourites, but Warriors have enough firepower to beat them. Hoping for a great game.

Penrith are prone to defensive lapses for 5-15 minutes which a team like the warriors can really exploit.

I thought that the winner of the Raiders Penrith game would go on to win the comp, and I still do.

Like Daz said, we really could have been chasing the minor premiership too if we hadn't blooded juniors in NSW cup. All that doesn't matter. We're here now.

Picking the score in the u20s is damn near impossible. It will either be extremely close for 80 minutes, or will see a blow out within the last 20 minutes to give an unrepresentative scoreline. I predict the latter.

We keep up our first class defensive for the whole game, and they shouldn't get close to rattling us. A few tries in quick succession could see us playing silly football and that's the biggest concern for this side.

Seems most teams, even the best, are quite weak mentally. The game gets to the final 15 minutes, scoreline is close, all it takes is one team to score and they could end up running in 5 tries in 15 minutes.

I don't think Penrith are mentally weak, the opposite actually, I think they're arrogant and think they can do whatever they want out there because they have complete belief they'll just turn it on at the end and win.

Probably because more often than not they do win. No matter how shit they play, how many injuries etc. they usually come out ontop. Not always, but many wins this year they were not the better side. Just able to defend well enough to win games with 10 mins of good footy.
