They can control what is written on their site but they cannot control what is written on others. Considering it is an article that many others can get access to, i cannot see the problem with keeping it up either.

I have the same problem on my forum at the moment. We have had someone give us the exact flight details of the squad. I was asked to remove it, not directly either mind you, they had emailed one of the members. I'm considering putting it back with editing. I can see the importance of exact times and such for the sake of security but i cannot see the problem in fans knowing roughly when the players are coming back.

What's everyone else's thoughts on this?

PK do you know who the e-mail was from? (or should i guess? ;-) )
If it was from someone officially involved with the club, you would think they would want as many people at the airport when the players come home with the WCC trophy!
Or is it a case of the club not wanting YOUR forum having those details? :?
(not having the message im only guessing :) )

I think it was a problem with the exact flight details being mentioned. As i said i am considering editing it and putting back up on the forum was just waiting to get feedback from a few others on it.

BTW you are not the first one that has mentioned the latter either. But it wasn't the impression i got at first. Don't know that's why i was asking for others thoughts on it.

Maybe you could put something like..."flight arrives between 8.00 and 9.00" if you know it gets in at 8.30..or something like that!! #-o

Penrith marketing manager Max Cowan today said the club stood to gain a financial windfall of at least $60,000 from shifting the game from Penrith to Telstra Stadium.
If we miss out on the finals,i hope the $60,000 was worth it.

Telstra stadium is only about 25 mins away from Penrith, which is closer than Penrith stadium to where I live.

Still its a gyp, paying extra travel and higher ticket costs.

Great idea!!
However they should have buses for supporters leaving from penrith stadium, This way panthers should be able to make some $$$$
although it does take away the home territory and advantage a little, hey but who cares it is against the goosters so how many of them will come

I think you might find that Telstra is more than 25mins from Penrith Munky. I work right near the stadium and it takes me 45mins to get to work and I don't get much traffic at the time I leave. It's more like 35 - 40 mins away and on a Friday night it could be a bit more as people flock to the city for Friday night outings.

It's about 20-25 minutes from where I live, just west of Parramatta.

No real dramas for me, but would be I imagine for the majority of Panthers supporters who live in Penrith.

Its closer to me to, but unlikely to head out to the club after the game, which I look forward to after every game.

I wonder if the actual turnout would prove to be a success or a flop for the moving of the game

but as i read somewhere else, the Grand Final replay should be in the 1st round, as a part of a double header even. Maybe the 2 grand finalists and 2 other teams who have a great rivalry (Cantebury/Parramatta, Cronulla/St George ect ect)

No way. (I'm not a Panter / Rooster fan )

Not that keen in travelling, paying for ticket, being ripped off on food and beer, when can stay at home or go to the pub and watch the game on TV.

Can understand the Penrith season ticket holders being upset. You get a season ticket so that you will get to go to your home ground for these blockbuster games

Well, we have reacted quite angrily. As we rightfully should.

But it's all done now, so I guess we should all do the right thing, and try to make it out there and beat those feather dusters! :D
