Melbourne v South Sydney

I also think such a combo would possibly create a record tv audience. Melbourne will tune in, Qld is attached to stars on both sides. Inglis will come up against his previous team and slater. Sydney will get rabbitoh stir crazy because most people dont actually remember the last GF they were in. It would be pitched as the final step in the rabbitoh fairy tale.

That's why I'm desperately hoping Souff$ don't make the Grand Final. If they were to do so I don't think I'd read the paper or watch TV for the whole week leading up to it.

Storm and Roosters win ugly but get the job done... Both have players to return; Storm have Maurice Blair and Roosters; SBW, Mini , O'Donnell and Kennedy... Could be blessings in disguise for these teams??

Very very open still. No matter how much everyone dislikes Souths and Melbourne (myself included), they are both still right up there, even with Souths' current slump and Melbourne's almost annual slump which id comfortably say is pretty much over.

On the other hand, Roosters are in red hot form and look pretty hard to beat atm. It will be interesting when Roosters play Souths to see how both teams play, in pretty much a finals type encounter. Another match which will help determine the calibre of a couple of contenders will be Manly vs Souths. Souths have been good pretty much all year, but from memory, have only beaten Chooks (possibly also Manly) out of the top 4. They have looked out of their depth against Melbourne. But also, Manly, despite being on a good run, really havn't beaten anyone of note in their last few rounds. Disposing of either Melbourne or Souths will really prove their credentials imo.

Agree regarding Manly. Drew with Melbourne but lost to Souths and twice to the Roosters. Hard to gauge where we're at but obviously next week will go a long way towards confirming if we're contenders or pretenders.
