Great Club Cronulla - Aren't They?

Hmmm:

1. Flanagan and his association with Stephen Dank with 12 players admitting guilt.

2. Flanagan's subsequent ban and now disqualification (can we never again have a Flanagan for coach thread).

3. Numerous (as in many more than one) breaches of the salary cap.

4. A club that is "technically" broke and supported by the NRL.

5. A club that has been the preferred destination for a slew of questionable characters including Gallen, Bird, Fafita, Ennis, Barba and Dugan.

You start to query the validity of their 2016 premiership. How far over salary cap were they in 2016? And despite knowing they are over the salary cap they go and sign Shaun Johnson showing scant regard for the NRL processes. Time to hit these clowns really hard because they are virtually giving the NRL the middle finger every year.

All a lead up to the NRL's grand plan of having SGI and the Sharks join ranks to form the 'Southern Dragons' with home games at the Gong.

OMG Possm, you are going to make so many people annoyed at you on here!

I'm sure any Cronulla supporters will be annoyed and believe it or not, I don't mind that. I am looking forward to the Cronulla district being returned to it's original and rightful owner. My only concern is vacating the St George and Cronulla Leagues Clubs, grounds and junior Clubs. So hopefully a revised Board could manage all three clubs making Southern Dragons a super club with fixtures being spread between the three grounds.

I think Point 4 is wrong with their Development surrounding Leagues Club?..and Dragons were there themselves last year and a few before that.
Point 5 - could be argued. 3 of those players played for the Dragons before the Sharks
Point 2 - hate to say it bettter resume than Mary in respect to getting his team to fire and win

Come on tossing Dugan & Ennis in on point 5 is a bit rich and you left out Fifita.
Dugan is hardly the bad boy some make him out to be.

I could live with that..
Not me Muzb. I'm happy with them being thrown out of the comp in disgrace. They should never have existed in the first place. We should have their territory and juniors. But we will be St George and we will be red and white without any of the filth of their blue. If we take over the ground, we sell it to developers immediately and the money goes into development of St George RLFC. I don't even want their stained premiership. It should be vacated like Melbourne's have been vacated.

They are scum.

Sadly I think Possm is onto something. The NRL is doing all it can to dilute Sydney clubs out of the game. This would destroy one of the biggest rivalries in rugby league and would end up worse than the Manly and Norths merger with Illawarra probably coming up out of it.

I would like to see a buy out of the St Georges Leagues Club and the same entity buy out the Sharks and all its assets. Let the NRL sell the Sharks license to Perth.

We can then be a 3 x leagues club, 3 x home ground Super Club. As long as the new buyer has deep pockets we will be great again.

The Dragons actually did very well out of having Dugan play for us.
Since then, as we all knew, his body would start falling apart but l reckon he won us more games than lost us, for sure.
Yep I agree OKB....I was very disappointed when he left...and as OT said he isnt the bad boy some like to make out....Ive met him and found him to be a nice bloke
