Great to win for Peachey's 200th, but what a miserable game!

I thought Sullivan and Stevens were our best - without those two first-half tries we would have struggled. Sam Isemonger made a mistake or two but I thought he played really well - he put in a huge effort.

Noddy was pretty ordinary in the first half, and I thought hogged it a bit all game, waiting too long to pass it out, and cutting out players when it wasn't needed. He didn't help his SOO chances I thought. Peach also tried a bit hard to start with, but played well in the second half.

I think Barry Pierce said at the presentation something like "we're looking forward to another great 2 years from Peach." Can anyone confirm?

From the messages I received via sms, it was evident that Sully had a blinder.

He is showing every week why he deserves to be in the team. The sooner he is in the halves the better.

Great win Sharks

All I can say is I wish I put my money where my mouth is when I called a double for Mcgoldrick this week :(

Sharks played prity ordinary tonight. If you look at our stats they were s**thouse, for eg we led errors etc against a crap side like souths. Good to see we get away with a relatively big win even with a poor performance however. McGoldrick and Sullivan standouts for mine, to the sharkies, re-sign him very quickly. Vagana still missing in action. After this game, I have serious doubts whether we will be a real contender this year.

The best thing is we are now equal with the benchmark Dragons 8) (a little behind in for and against, but who's counting). It's all a lot harder from here on in though.

I just got back from the game. The first 20 minutes was ghastly but the team showed lots of patience in gradually taking control of the game.

And it was great to see Sully, Gallen and Isemonger dye their hair as part of their support for more Cancer Research. Well done boys.

He said that when he presented the game ball to him. Something like, "We are looking forward to another great 2 years." Can anyone confirm they have signed him? Nothing was said at the preso inside the club about it.

I hope Peach stays with us. Fingers crossed what you guys say is true

The first half of tonights game really had me worried. It was Sullivans great try followed by Stevens strip leading to the Simmons try that got us back into the game.
The 2nd half was much better, but there are just too many dropped balls!
If we make that many mistakes against the Broncos then we are in trouble.

I thought McGoldrick and Isemonger had great games too. I am starting to wonder about Merrit though, he does little in attack and I get nervous with his defence, but that was a great tackle to put McDougall into touch

That's not true. Merrit improved immensely tonight. He was in the middle of the field alot looking for the pill.

I thought it was a pretty solid effort from the Sharks.
Souths didnt make an error in the first 30 mins. Add enthusiasm and you get a tough side to crack.
When the errors came Souths lost the enthusiasm and they were shot.
Did anyone else notice who was doing the coaching at half-time?
I think Raper's got it right taking a backward seat and let Noddy do the talking.
The TV must of shown 3 minutes of it and it looked like Noddy had been going a while when they crossed and would still be going a while when he finished.
Kimmorley will be a good coach when he finishes playing. Lets hope thats 5 or 6 years down the track.

I liked the fact that we didn't fall asleep in the second half when we had the game won. Letting sides back into the game after establishing a huge lead has been a problem.

I thought we were pretty ordinary in the first half, lots of dropped ball a few bombed tries.. But we turned it around in the second half.. I didnt think we played our best, far from it, but to still win by 20 points, im not complaining.. ;-)

I think one player that went very well in the second half was Lomu. HE scored a try which was a turning point in our game and after that point had an extra spring in his step in attack, he went looking for the ball more and hit the line hard.
