Great Win!!! But................

No doubt a comprehensive performance yesterday but there a still a few things that I find concerning;

1. Our ability to let teams back in to the game after a great start.

I don't know if it has something to do with the interchange process but we seem to consistently drop off after 15-20 minutes. Another contributing factor could be the fact that Bronson Harrison gives away stupid penalties. I wish you could bet on who will be the first Raiders player penalised.

2. Plum and Miller are they our best options?.

May well account for our drop off in intensity after 20 mins. Both are workhorses at best and lack try scoring ability. Does Thurling need to be held back to come on during this period? We can afford to carry one of them but Joel Thompson and Joe Picker must surely come in to contention. (I think the Fox commentators made a good point yesterday when they were questioning why the hell Plum would be standing out of the scrum and standing at first receiver and subsequently dropping the ball. A very bad option which I hope Furner does away with)

3. My old mate Adrian Purtell

Admittedly a better performance yesterday (why it has taken this long to switch Purtell and Graham is beyond me). But what happens when Justin Carney comes back. Purtell must be the man to miss out. I would switch Croker to right centre with Monaghan outside him and have Graham and Carney on the left. Looking at Dugan, Vidot and Drury Low yesterday makes me wonder about the futures of Milne, Graham and Purtell. Milne must be retained for depth but you would think Dugan and Vidot should be regulars by 2010 if not sooner and Low is not far behind.

4. State of Origin

Will be watching selections tonight with interest. Could be bitter sweet because I fear if Campo and Joel are selected our bid for some momentum could be flattened. No confidence in any suggested replacement for Campo.

arent we the best disciplined team , im not to concerned with the penalties , more so the dud calls we get that lead to tries.

Ive been concerned with Miller over the last weeks , I dont think he has been as damaging as he can be , or it might be that TLL just as been so bloody good.

The only change I would have is Dugan at the back and Milne on the wing for Purts ( i thought he was solid ), but Milne to continue the support play around the ruck.

Great news that campo is looking at signing a 5 year deal

Don't worry Timbo. I've given up and am happy to hand over the forum to all the deathriders. Not much point coming back here when it's about exciting as a morgue after a win.

Keep a keen eye out for those GH references mate.

Out of interest, how can the Canberra fans be classified "death riders" when their team has lost 70% of their games this season and their best player is stuck in the U20s?

Wouldn't the death riders be the people on the Bulldogs, Dragons, Broncos, Knights, and Panthers forums who are saying that their team is sh*t and the coach has no idea?

There's a difference between pessimists and realists.

Don't think anyone is "deathriding"the Raiders however I think all supporters have the right to vent their frustrations after what can only be described as a very disappointing season so far.

One win does not a season make. We have a good chance to build momentum with a win over Souths, the bye and then the Sharks at home. We have to take full advantage and whilst I was stoked with the win, we have seen far too many false dawns with the Raiders.

All I'm asking for is consistency and an actual game plan.
