Once Upon a Time in the West: An epic spaghetti western that I've not seen. Westerns haven't faired too well so far.

L.A. Confidential: A slick and stylish adaptation of James Elroy's equally enthralling book, featuring great performances from two Aussies. A smoky.

The Wizard of Oz: Something of a gay icon these days, but who didn't get forced to watch this at least once as a kid? Or maybe my folks are just cruel.

Crash: A shock Oscar winner, this ensemble piece was heart-jerking and featured a number of career best performances.

Mystic River: Another Oscar heavyweight, Mystic told the story of the differing lives of men whose childhoods were touched by abuse and the way a murder stirs them in different ways. A great flick.

A very solid group. Any one of Once Upon a Time in the West (which if you haven't seen it and like Good, the Bad and the Ugly is well worth a look), Mystic River, LA Confidential and Wizard of Oz could have gotten my vote.

But in the end i shocked myself by voting for Wizard of Oz. It's just to me the greatest kids classic of all-time. Nothing has surpassed it in the 70 odd years since its release. Classic family flick.

None of these are really my type of movie. But I do seem to remember LA Confidential being pretty good.

Once Upon a Time in the West, really awesome flick. Mystic River is brilliant, an absolute masterpiece, but I was swept away by Once Upon a Time the first time I saw it. Great music, great visuals, one of the all time great cinematic openings. Classic.

Once Upon a Time in the West: I have it on dvd. I bought it for $5.00, but haven't seen it. I bought it nearly two years ago...lol.

L.A. Confidential: Never seen it.

The Wizard of Oz: .Classic movie. I actually enjoyed "The Wiz" more. It was a motown version with Michael Jackson and Diana Ross.

Crash: Good movie.

Mystic River: Excellent movie. The funny thing about Clint Eastwood was that most of his acting movies have been shallow, yet his directed movies have been very deep. I choce this movie.
Sean Penn's scream in the movie was unbelievable.

Sean PENN made that movie mate. His acting is VERY underrated in recent times. Wizard of Oz is an all time classic, but ' Crash " was an acting drama with quality and twists, and it's recentness ( although in the wrong group as so different than from Oz its not even close ) made me pick it over the others.

Oz a somewhat surprise qualifier from this one, with Crash squeezing through in second.
