Casablanca: A true classic. They've not done so well thus far.

Raging Bull: One of De Niro's most memorable films. One of Joe Pesci's few tolerable films.

Braveheart: Arguably Mel Gibson's greatest achievement as both a director and an actor. An inspiring, gory epic that really put the genre back onto the Hollywood landscape.

Trainspotting: Edgy classic from Danny Boyle about heroin addiction. Really launched the career of Ewan McGregor.

Magnolia: Polarises those who see it. Definitely not Anderson's finest work, but a deep and diverse ensemble flick with his quirky sensibility attached.

lol
seen none of them
Have you seen anything?:p

Fair enough if you haven't seen the likes of Casablanca and Rging Bull, but not even Braveheart or trainspotting? Do yourself a favour and hire them. Great movies.

What a tough group btw. All completely different movies but all classics IMO. Had to go with Braveheart though.

It's one of the most mocked movies of all-time but it has everything that i want from an epic. Great characters, violence not toned down, courage, betrayal and love stories you actually care about.

Love it. big Mel fan, too. Apocalypto is another one of my favourites which unfortunately didn't make the cut for this competition.

how can you say that about joe pesci?? top actor. raging bull is a classic

Pesci has played the same role in every film he's ever done. In some, it's brilliant casting. In others, it makes my ears want to join a suicide cult.

You reckon?

His characters in Raging Bull, Goodfellas, Home Alone and the Lethal Weapon series could barely be more different.

Annoying wanker? Admittedly, I've not seen his Raging Bull performance recently - but they're all pretty similiar in the other three cases.
