* The birth of the New World Order, redefined wrestling, was really its own brand
* Hulk Hogan v Ultimate Warrior, Hulk Hogan v Andre the Giant and scoop slamming him
* Sting joining the Wolfpac
* Lex Luger racking the entire nWo in 97 I believe in a WCW v nWo v Team Piper main event, Luger was against 3 or 4 of them, racked the whole lot of them, had the last one tapping until the nWo interfered
* Sting turning up to sign the contract v Hulk Hogan
* Ultimate Warrior reappearing in WCW (I know it sucked major *** in the end, but all the Warrior marks loved it)
* Sting v Hulk Hogan and the WCW locker room clearing rank to celebrate with him
* Bret Hart v Chris Benoit in WCW, awesome match
* Sting reappearing from the rafters with the chilling vulture stuff, and the little kid voiceover "This... is..... Sting"
Meh, I loved Sting v Hogan. That for me was the primetime of pro wrestling of the past 10 years. Personally I'm into big time technical wrestling, but for some reason the Hulkamaniac juices run wild still, I'm a big mark for the old school wrastlers from the old days like Hogan, Sting, Bret "Hitman" Hart, Macho Man Randy Savage - that was an awesome era of showmanship and charisma, amazing characters in a real fairy tale atmosphere. Then I reckon they kind of ruined it with the "this is just sports entertainment" cr@p, admitting it was all phoney, and playing up to it. Pffft, we knew it was phoney, but it was fun and an escape.
