Dykes is off to England, and it looks like they have re-signed Kimmorly for another two.
I don't blame Blake tbh.

Good luck to Blake, looks like he will get his chance at a regular first grade starting spot. Kris Keating must be signed ASAP.

Yeah I don't blame him either, don't think he was going to get a run with us if Keating comes through at the end of Finch's contract.

Best of luck to you lad.

channel ten hasn't always been the most reliable source in regards to signings.

if its true Ican't blame him at all, obviously he wants to play 1st grade and can see a great opportunity there.

lets get Keatings contract signed and sealed now though...

Indeed!!

Also, looks like there won't be any more winkies from Eela over this one.

apparently because of all the signings of mateo smith cordoba ETC Kris Keating will be leaving the club aswell. Such a talent and he is twice the player matt keating is!!!!

Also i have heard romoured that again due to contract upgrades of mainly mateo and possibly Inu very soon Jarryd Hayne will be open to offers at other clubs as he wants the fullback role and there wont be enough funds for what his asking price will be.

id say ellavation would be able to chip in here?

Good luck to him. He can always come back in a couple of years time once he gets plenty of 1st grade experience. If he loves Parra as much as he says he does (and I am not being sarcastic here, I am sure he genuinely does) then he'll have that in the back of his mind just like Wade McKinnon, Eric Grothe, PJ Marsh, Chad Robinson and the numerous others over past years that have understandably gone elsewhere for a period of time to get a better shot at 1st grade, only to return at the next available opportunity.

that on the other hand is a big worry. Hayne is a star and we do not want to be losing him. Kris Keating I have no idea about, but those of you who get to see Lower Grade matches obviously have a big wrap on him so that is not great, but Jarryd Hayne is worth doing all we can to keep. I am now stating the bleeding obvious of course...:sarcasm:

f**k f**k f**k....not good, not good at all. Not only are we losing a talented player...it's to the f**king Sharks :fist: People say that it doesn't matter, we have Kris Keating...but Keating is 17 or something, and nowhere near ready for first grade. Blake would have been a ready made back-up for Finch (who, btw, is completely useless and I believe we should have axed to keep Green) with first grade experience. Now we have the option of a reshuffle with someone like Wags at 6, buying a PL 6 for the money we could have just used to sign Blake, picking a sub-par 6 or pushing Keating before he's ready...best of luck to Blake, he is a champion, but I believe we should have pushed much harder to keep him

i'm not privvy to what these guys are on but surely with the players that have left we are able to make upgrades to players contracts and still compete with others.

I mean Vella and Tahu are gone - good $$$ there, i would assume Wagon would be downgraded, I Hindy going (not that much, but enough to add to someones contract) and possibly PJ. add this to a rise in the salary cap.

there has to be enough $ to go around OR every other club must be well and truly over the salary cap.

Errr....Jarryd is signed until the end of the 2010 season, and he upgraded his deal last year...

Like eela has said in previous threads with all the new signings we may not have had enough money to keep him. But Blake loves this club after the two years if we give him a chance he will more the likely come back to us.

I agree with the Kris Keating comment. Kris needed at least another year before first grade and if either Finch or Timmy get injured next year then Kris will probably be pushed into firsts.

correct...and by the start of season 2011, there will be ALOT of player and coaching movement in our club....by then we could see the likes of cayless and hindmarsh retire!
