Went down the local this evening and saw Green put in another impressive performance, with a clean knockout victory

When will Mundine stand up to the plate and fight this guy? If Mundine beats Echols, than it would be the perfect contest

Did anyone else see tonights bout? Any thoughts?

Cheers,

I sw it and apart from a right hand in the 4th De Lisle did nothing.

I don't rate De Lisle much as he's looked fairly ordinary in a few fights and his chin is a bit dodgy.

BTW, Mundine won't beat Echols ;-)

Over the last few weeks, the more I read and see clips on Echols's ring performance in previous bouts, the more it convinces me that Mudine is next to a no chance. Echols seems to be a fighter in the Thomas 'Hitman' Hearns stable. A kid who can throw a damaging punch.

The more I dwell on the Echolls-Mundine fight, the more I think, not only will Echols defeat mundine convincingly, but it could be an embarrassment for the former NRL star.

Maybe he'll contemplate a "Blacklock" following this fight.

He's still an Aussie though, so best wishes to him.

Hmmm dunno if I'd compare Echols to Hearns as Tommy was a good boxer and Echols has been outboxed a few times.

Tommy was never outboxed like Echols has been.

I meant in the 'hitman' type, or the ability to throw a punch and have it land. The announcer also mentioned the same comparison, of Echols to The Hitman.

I watched some clips of Echols here, and he seems to know when to throw a punch as well as where to land them. Of course, it was a highlights reel which showed his better performances rather than his ordinary ones.

I do agree with the rest of your post though. Tommy Hearns was a very good puncher/boxer. I'm sure Echols wouldn't stack up against Hearns as a whole.
