Just wanted to say how awsome the outdoor gig was at the SCG last night.
Greenday went off for a massive 2.5 hours done 2 encores. played allmost the whole new album along with about 15 of there greatest hits.

BJ is one of the best performers i have ever seen on stage. I honestly consider this band to be one of the greatest in there genre.

Personally couldnt say much for My Chemicle Romance but Jimmy Eat World were awsome in there own right. Give the whole gig a 9/10 easy the only reason it doesnt geta 10/10is the fact that when ever i see greenday i get so jelous as some young kid gets a guitar from Billy it should have been me

Pretty good line up there. I like Green Day's first album and their new one, the stuff in between aint that great IMO. Plus Jimmy Eat World have some catchy stuff too, though im not sure about My Chemical Romance.

Greenday was awesome again, but after seeing them at the Superdome in March (?) i was a little disappointed with this performance

not sure why, maybe the sound wasn't as good being in an open environment
dunno

and they didn't play "when i come around" which really annoyed me

oh, and if the chick i was standing next to is reading this, you are the hottest chick i've ever had next to me at a concert. actually, anywhere. and yes i do apologise for staring at you the whole time :lol:

I was very impressed with the gig, Unfortunately at the time of the first gig at superdome earlier in the year i was in between jobs and had to choose betweek greenday and Goodcharlotte and choose Charlotte. But i was more then happy when i heard Greenday was making there way back out.


The whole night was awsome, Green day put on a spectacular show. All i can say is that next time the come out id pay double if i had to, to see em again.

I went on Wednesday night too and thought it was beyond great then again i haven't been to that many concerts. It has made my year. Nothing beats yelling out lyrics like they have at the top of your lungs. I agree with you somethingwithjohn i was jealous of the little guy too! But it woulda been great to get the guitar....which was licked by Billie. Unbelieveable live! and go the fireworks.

Slightly off the point but I got suckered into taking my little sister to the My Chemical Romance sideshow at the Roundhouse on Thursday, and they were quite impressive. I hadn't really heard of them before besides one crappy song, but they were tight and great performers.. some quality songs, but some very ordinary ones too.

The Hot Lies went off too, as I expected they would.

I too was annoyed they didn't play When I come Around.....was waiting for that near the end of the show thinking "they can't NOT play one of their best"...but alas they didn't.

Was an incredible show.
