Interesting to see ex-Tigers/Magpies at other clubs. Greenshields replacing Hornby this weekend vs Parra.

St George seemed to have liked out stocks a bit after grabbing Saleh last year. Olzard, Withers and Greenshields for this season. John Carlaw too via Warriors.

Olzard apparently injured the crap out of his leg. It was in last week's paper.

Did all his knee ligaments, snapped his hammy and tore the calf muscle from the bone vs Easts the other week. Ouch.

It was a bad mistake letting CLAYTON and Greenshields go!Trent Clayton was starting to play some great footy towards the end of last year.He is big, strong, fast and a prolific try scorer.I think Rob Miles goes o.k and Luke Covell is a solid player improving but they aren`t in the same ball park as Clayton as far as game breaking, match winning ability goes.I think he only signed with Penrith for 1 year so who knows we might get him back as he`s only 22.
Greenshilds was one of the Magpies best all year in their charge to the semis last year.He too is only 22 and it`s a shame or bad management that we lost the both of them!

Greenshields is a fantastic player deadset.

I hope we re-sign him although I dont know where he could go as we have a lot of good players in all his positions and great up and comers for backup positions as well.

You guys shouldnt of let him go. He will be a brilliant fullback in a couple of years.
Withers is also going very well also. He seems to be really enjoying playing at the Dragons.

Olzard was forced to retire due to that horrific knee injury. Carlaw is another great backup doing wonders for us during injury time.

Thanks guys for the great players :D
You guys got Kerr, Branighan and Clint Hill from the Dragons also so it was a pretty good trade.

No worries as long as we get 2 out of these players off the Dragons for next year;Ben Creagh,David Howell,Ashton Simms or Justin Poore!Dean Young would be good also but I don`t think he`ll leave in a hurry!

lol the only one you would be a chance of getting will be Poore.

I wouldnt care if you guys took Howell, he isnt all that great but on the other hand he is really improving and is a star in PL.

Reece Simmons is also a Magpie Jnr, if memory serves me correctly. Played lower grades with Western Suburbs, then moved to St.George-Illawarra for an opportunity to play 1st Grade, and hasn't looked back.
