Hmmmm. You might be onto something here. Maybe there is some sort of connection between the Brisbane Broncos and Foxsports. I can't quite put my finger on it but I've often wondered how three absolute dullards, who all played for the Broncos, can wind up in a gig that you would think requires charisma, knowledge and personality. Maybe that fine and reputable publication the Courier Mail or Daily Telegraph will investigate it.

I was few beers deep in my OP. My question was more that I've never seen him as a keen analyst a-la Sterlo etc so I was pretty happy when Freddie brought him on board for NSW as I thought they won't get much from him.

Clearly, he had a bit to offer (or maybe just the passing of the Maroons' golden generation) and occasionally I hear him make worthwhile comments these days, still mixed in with plenty of dross IMO.

A while back a Shark got sent for 10 so Shaun Johnson managed the clock down with conservative sets that finish with a kick into touch.

Brandy and Blocker carried on and had no idea why Johnson kept kicking for touch. One I didn't expect an understanding from, the other was a rep halfback. Embarrassing.

There may be worse on channel 9 but I haven’t watched them in ages. I’d rather watch a highlight reel of Paul Kent spitting lemon seeds in mindless self-righteous rants on loop for 80 minutes...

But when Alexander has a microphone.., there’s nothing more mind numbing, and yes I include Braith Anasta.

Does anyone like this bloke in commentary?

This isn’t Fight Club and I wouldn’t howl at anyone who does, I’m genuinely interested to see if anyone values what this bloke spits out week after frigging week, and why.

If it ain't Penrith or NSW, he doesn't have a clue and can't be bothered doing his research. Hard to say if he's worse than Bwaith or several others, it's like saying one steaming turd is less offensive than the others.
