now that SBW has ellis is the best 2nd rower in the world....without a doubt..

and he'll rip up the NRL because he's very adaptable and very comfortable playing either lock or 2nd row...even not looking out of place in the centers..just don't turn him into a prop like you did mozza..


anyway back to eastwood,i think he'll struggle to make the leeds team,he certainly won't walking into the side, and i feel if leeds were looking for a direct replacement for ellis they should have gone after simon mannering..

you only have to look at the flow of talent - how many Aussies grace the fields of ESL, and how many pommies come over here - SFA!!!

i truly wish England were as strong as some of you think - this World Cup is boring as batsh*t after that thrashing - I hope one day they can find some passion and kick some Aussie arse to make it interesting for once.

ps - the 'too many imports' argument is the same one thrown up to explain England's poor showing in the international football competitions - 'too many imports playing in the EPL'. why not just face it that you are sh*t and need to develop your talent pool?

Some of that has to do with the pay. Most of the big name poms who might actually crack the NRL (and there arent that many) would have to take a pay cut to come here.

Plus poms tend to get homesick even worse than aussies. They just cant get enough of the cold sh*t weather and rainy days. Refer to Leon Price's comments about how Blackpool beach is better than Bondi.
