Greg Inglis future immortal?

To me his career is quite similar to Rafa Nadal. Champion player but is now playing busted.

I don't see a future for him at fullback anymore. And tonight he got destroyed by Moses when defending out wide. Will be a shame if he is remembered this way.

I've never seen him pick out a wedgie so he's not similar to Rafa. Also future immortal

i've been saying for a while now that he should be playing left centre. playing fullback or five eighth week to week just wears him out too much now. people have to remember that he started first grade when he was only 18. the body can only take so much. keary should be five eighth, cody walker fullback

It won't matter where he is played, he'll still be targeted for being the fat, slow, arm grabber he has become.

He only thing that's going to fix him is 6-9 months off where he can get the knee surgery he so clearly needs and to also drop the 15kg or so of fat and pointless muscle he is carrying.

A 90-93kg Inglis with 6 months worth of rest and rehab under his belt would be a dynamite 5/8

He'd be better off going to a club where he's not expected to do more than he did when he first rose to stardom. He could be that again in ESL even with the irreversible body development

The "next Greg Inglis," Roosters superstar in the making Latrell Mitchell, is already outperforming the last Greg Inglis.

Future Immortal? Latrell Mitchell maybe, Greg Inglis definitely not.

He's one of the more overrated footballers of the last 20 years. Even at his peak he was lazy and only interjected himself into games when he could be bothered. Now he's just turned into a cheeseburger.

i promise, he can still be effective at left centre. playing fullback or five eighth just wears him out too much and that's why he looked tired and slow at times. bloody moses made him look like a statue

No f**king Way

Edit: Although the media will give it to him.

Out of the big 4 from Melbourne, his quality has dropped most by a fair margin.

They let the right 1 go, Bellamy is not stupid.

He can book his surgery for early September.

No.

Even if you don't place any importance in the 'Immortals' he's not even close to the top 8 or 10 players since WW2.

Wow. Some people will look for any excuse to defend this bloke.

He's always been lazy. Please don't confuse that with some type of horrendous knee injury. He looks fine when wanting to have a go. If the knee is so bad he can always get it fixed or retire. He's not so that tells the story. If the knee is so bad no club will sign him to big dollars again. If the knee is so bad he'd be a liability in rep sides.

He wasn't interested last night, as has been the case at club level for quite some time. Some of his defensive attempts just look like a bloke happy to collect the $$$$ but not prepared or motivated to lead his team.

Its interesting the comparisons to the other members of Melbourne's 'big 4' (now big 3) because the question was asked are they as good individually or does them forming such a lethal combination make them the players that they are. We don't know if slater/cronk/smith would of had as much success alone as the others, but we do know that Inglis could do it on his own. He went to a team that had made the finals once in the last 21 seasons and was the Key factor in them winning their first premiership in 43 years. Since he has left the storm he has won the same amount as premierships as the big 3 have.

I can't agree with that NT.

Sam Burgess was the biggest reason they won & overall a very talented squad.

I was actually thinking the opposite in that the big 3 in Melbourne (& Bellamy's discipline) made him look good. 2 years ago, the Rabbits players did the same but aren't now.

Can't take anything away from him, he's a great player but I can't help but think if he had the mental application, he's be an immortal...hands down.

Inglis was the key player to souths rise during 2012-2013 and was the key player in our premiership.
Sam had a good back end to 2014 but was never the key player. In fact our win rate without him during that period rose when he was out. When we missed inglis it dropped dramatically.
