Inglis had a couple of good years at centre

Did well running over the top of opposition centres but doesn't have much else in his game

Thurston won a grand total of 1 finals game between his 25th and 30th birthday.

No immortal was outstanding in every game of their career.

GI is carrying a massively injury depleted team.

Inglis won a grand total of 0 final games between his 1st and 15th birthdays

Thurston is well ahead of Inglis I think. I rate Inglis very highly in the next level of player with the likes of Lockyer, Cronk and maybe Smith. Not all of these will become immortals

Inglis isn't even close

Tell me. If nsw got their act together about 10-12 years ago and inglis played the last 7 or 8 series for them, would they have won more of those series? Not only nsw would be better (Imarine hayne inglis Jennings and the Morris twins all filling spots), but qld would have been significantly weaker. I remember one game after slater got bashed out of the previous game, inglis moved to fullback and seemed to say," here i am, try to bash me."

Although it's injury related the fact that he has spent 2 years playing well below immortal standard and possibly will spend a couple more at that level should rule him out of immortal contention

No....
Smith - Yes
Lockyer? - Very close. Ahead of Inglis by a long way. The way he rep'd Australia was inspirational....
And thats coming from a NSWelshman

Souths don't a Premiership without GI, Big Sam, Reynolds or Luke. They were all equally important but in thw run home Sam was easily Souths best.

Its funny how Burge$$ is only a good player, not one of the best now the rules are applied to him as they are to everyone else

the immortal thing is just something a rugby league magazine does. inglis will be remembered as one of the best players to ever play the game

Playing for QLD = absolute star

Playing for Souffs = barely 1st grade standard

I don't think he's happy at Souffs tbh

Inglis will never been an immortal, he is way too inconsistent.

Lockyer will be the next followed by Thurston. No other player in the game deserves it.

I was pretty bemused when the ABC radio interviewed him the other day. He was asked about how he let Moses run around him so easily. He laughed and said he took him too easy.....

Sort of says it all at the moment.....

Living on past glory. Struggling to remember the last time he was the difference in a game.
