After completing his duties at Pia , scrum half Maxime Greseque has signed to finish the rest of this SL season with Wakefield Trinity Wildcats . Greseque has signed with one eye on a contract for next season . Tony Smith ( Wakefield coach ) has said that Greseque will add great competition for places . Greseque has previously tasted English football with Featherstone in the NL in 2004 .

Yah I read that...

Not sure why they grabbed him. They don't have bad halves in Sam Obst and Jamie Rooney.

The arrangement is not for the rest of the season but only for five weeks. There is no guarantee that Greseque will get a run in that time.

It was an easy way for Greseque's English manager to appear to be trying to help the young lad. After all the manager lives in a house in Wakefield where Greseque will live for that brief time, thereby making it easier for Wakefield to accept Greseque's visit without any guarantees of game time.

The arrangement will have been a disaster for Greseque if he does not get a run, as he will appear to have been considered not good enough to play for Wakefield --- whether that is true or not. He will then find it harder to land a contract in England next year. This was a bad career move by him in my opinion.
