Barrett is leaving Manly mid contract, because he says that he doesn't have the resources that he requires at Manly. I think that Barrett will be Penrith's coach next year. I know that Gould has a very high opinion of Barrett. Barrett even used be part of Penrith's coaching staff, before he signed with Manly.

Barrett would be happy to take a 2 year deal at Penrith, with their current roster. In two years time he would most likely be in a better position to gain another good coaching gig at another club, than if he was to stay at Manly.

We should be targeting Taupau big time. Taupau and or Pangai would give us a mad pack.

I don't understand why Trent Barrett is in such demand as a coach. He's only made the finals once in 3 years!

I mean, it's not like he's led a team to the top of the ladder in April or anything
