Whats wrong with Wesser if he gets selected?

He's been in great form.

He ran 359 metres last week, second highest metre gain in history...

Fair dinkum some people have deadset no idea.

I don't think Wesser would do too bad on the wing to tell you the truth. Seems like he'd handle it a lot better than other out of position players.

Yeh like cutie... he is out of position if he leaves the dressing sheds

Seriously whats wrong with Schif.. ..safe under the bomb ,good defender &good goal kicker

Brenton Bowen is a lot more logical choice than some of the players being suggested here. But firstly i would put Berrigan into the starting side and bring Matt Bowen onto the bench.

That's tough. They might move Berrigan into the centres and shift Bell back out to the wing - Bowen onto the bench.

Other contenders: Billy Slater, Steve Turner, Brenton Bowen, Adam Mogg or bring back Matty Sing. Bring back Brett Dallas from the Old Dart. Even Shannon Hegarty got injured playing for the Bunnies on the weekend.

I believe he's a Penrith junior.

Brenton Bowen would be the obvious choice. Dont they miss Ty Williams badly.

Mogg wouldnt be a bad option, im sure we'd all like to see Schif in there but realistically it wont happen. Wesser seems to be in as a last resort, 2 months ago we seemed to have a never ending stock of outside backs, but that hasnt gone so well for us.

go for schif or wesser. though i'm not sure schif is useful on the wing. my tip would be wesser and he may actually go ok out there. I just hope they dont put bell on the wing again cos he's wasted out there

Fullbacks on the wing are a disaster waiting to happen. It is bad enough putting centres on the wing who more often than not get caught out, but a fullback...QLD are in all sorts if Wesser is the winger.
King and Grothe will have a field day

I was thinking recently about how few club wingers make rep sides these days. It seems most rep wingers are centres. last years tri nations winegrs were both centres at club footy. had cooper not been out of origin I NSW would have had 2 club centres, QLD's havent picked any wingers for the first 2 games....

but the reality is taht since wingers arent gonna get a go, who do you put there? Is brenton bowen up to origin standard?

Schif would go alright but he won't be there for his goal kicking as Thurston has shown he can do that. For mind Mogg has been going well on the wing and hes played their recently so you aren't shifting a fullback to wing.

Mogg has been on absolute fire recently, and his strength is his defence and running the ball back on kick returns, which QLD desperately need. I'd say he deserves the spot, even ahead of Schif.

imo wesser's had his chance. QLD need to go with someone different, it's obvious that the players they've picked in the past aren't up to the job.

I am prepared to give Wesser another go. In the end we don't have a lot of wingers and I am not in favour of centres playing on the wing. Wesser will step up for QLD. I probally would ahve taken a punt and played Darious Boyd but I can see why they want Wesser.

when in the hell are they gonna name his replacement!?

btw, I would honestly pick Hegarty. Just coz his with Rabbitohs, ppl automatically assume he's crap, when he was at roosters it was a different story. He's an actual winger who has played for qld and aus and has a decent amount of size and would definitely rise to the occasion
