Ground name

I put this in the NRL forum.
I'd actually support the NRL buying the ground.
Of course I am just speculating.

Souths are the only ones to have been looking at selling anything off, the Crowe Shares.
The NRL are investing in the WA side, why not add part of a Sydney team to their portfolio.

Any wonder why those stories were actually leaked a few weeks ago.
It's the Mole, he is never one to break a story.

Edit: If it was the Sharks my guess it would be to sell the Ground to the NRL. They did actually ask them a while back if they would go halves with them.
That could be a real possibility

If it is suggesting us he is way off the mark. We are further away from going under today than we have ever been. Tony is a knob of the highest order.

I agree, on all counts.
We are no way on earth going under, and he is a real knob.
In saying that, the club has been very, very quiet about naming rights for the stadium etc.
If there were negotiations going on, in regards to selling the ground, then it kind of makes sense. And to me it makes good business sense.
The only doubt I have is that something has leaked.
We don't leak any information anymore, from top to bottom.
We also don't have control of who, or where, the NRL have their information going.

I'm just speculating, but truly I do hope that the NRL buys the ground and makes it into something.
Wishful thinking?
Yeah maybe.

Well that is a possibility I didn’t really consider. I wouldn’t see this as selling off to survive though, the opposite, opens up the possibility of upgrades, otherwise the value of the land is useless to us.

They have previously asked the NRL to buy half of it. That's where my speculation comes into it.
Mate it would be a tremendous sale. And I'm pretty sire there'd be some sort of clause in regards to rental.
If it happened, rest assured the NRL would make it some sort of "home ground" for the NRLW.
They have already used it for other games. International as well?
They would be using it as THE ground for major games. The Shire is Exploding with girls wanting to play the game.
Having their hotel on-site is a double bonus.
Also, I'd imagine both sides of govt would have a hard time knocking back PVL with assistance.

I do not know anything, it's just a hope dashed with feeling.

The ground we will never upgrade it to be a boutique stadium if we could, this would have happened when we started with the units.

Unless the govt builds in the area a new 20,000 seated stadium no option then to play at below

Why not sell the land pocket that money, and pay rent to play at Allianz, I know it will take a couple of years for fans to get used to travelling, but we have start of the art ground then to be playing at.

We don’t need a boutique stadium stake. We just need to not have a shit show. The order of priority re the development was correct. Even though opposition fans think we are dumb that we built a shopping centre before the stadium, they just don’t understand the details on why it was done in this way.

Anyway, selling the land the stadium sits on is smart, it currently returns very little money.
