John Sykes. This guy was an integral part of Whitesnake original sound. I have no doubt if David Coverdale didn’t boot him out we would be talking about Whitesnake in the same sentence as Gunners.

Crying in the rain live. Superb live performance.

Still of the night. It’s not so much the guitar just his presence on the interlude. Playing, style everything. This song is possibly the one of the greatest rock songs ever recorded and still remains an unknown to many. 80’s version of stairway to heaven

Rocky George from Suicidal Tendencies. Absolute shred monster who could play all over a song but still keep it tasteful

Glen Campbell and Roy Clark received lots of recognition but seem to be overlooked or forgotten nowadays.

To a lesser extent, same for Chet Atkins.

Jerry Reed as well.

Peter Green.

Man of the World is an amazing tune.

The fact Gary Moore played and Kirk Hammett still play his guitar says if all.

Also Nile Rodgers, no one else has ever laid down a riff that makes you want to move your body like him.

Ben Savage from Whitechapel

The emotion he captures in his solo is just amazing, imo.

If you haven't got the patience to listen to the song for 3 minutes to get to the solo, here's a great cover:
